Keep Matt Bryant of the Bucs in your Prayers
In sad news, it looks like the Bucs Kicker Matt Bryant and his family will need our prayers. I didn't see it here yet, but may have missed it. However, I thought it was worth a post. Please stop by bucem and give them our condolences and our support.

TAMPA, Fla. -- Matthew Tryson Bryant, the 3-month-old son of Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Matt Bryant, died Wednesday.
"We had a terrible tragedy this morning," coach Jon Gruden said after practice. "We lost a key member of our family. Matt Bryant and Melissa lost their youngest son. I don't have a lot of details but ... it's hard. Our prayers go out to the Bryants."
"Obviously the details will come later but it's just a horrible tragedy and I can't explain it. Again, I just ask the fans and the people that know Matt to keep him in their prayers. It will be hard for him to overcome this but we've got to do the best we can right now."
Bryant is in his seventh season in the NFL, his fourth season with Tampa Bay.
"The entire Buccaneer family is deeply saddened by this tragedy," general manager Bruce Allen said in a team statement.
"The Bryants have been an inspiration to our entire community through their commitment to their family and their exhaustive efforts working with children and those in need in the Bay area. Our thoughts and prayers are with Matt and Melissa during this difficult time."
Matthew was the youngest of the Bryant family's two sons.
Bryant, 33, kicked the game-winning field goal in overtime against Chicago last Sunday.

I couldn't handle the death of my child...it would destroy me.

I don't have a child, but I guess it would be the same with me.
If the woman I love more than anything would die, I could never handle it… I can’t even imagine what would be then… Knock it wood nothing like this ever happens!

The Boy was three months old
The reports I heard was that he died in his sleep which is SIDS. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. I lost my Grandson “Hunter” six years ago to SIDS, he was four months old. It’s a terrible loss to suffer through and my heart and prayers go out to the Bryant Family.
I know this is not football, but it is near and dear to my heart. If you care to know a little more about SIDS, you can find it here at this link. Thank you MHR

We lost our son.....................
About 7 years ago we lost our son in tragic accident, I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. My thoughts and prayers will be with the Bryant family.

Very tough, I am sorry for you Broncofan and Diehard
I had my cousin died of cancer when he was 12 about 4 years ago, he had battled it for 6 years, I know how it has devestated our family. I am very sorry for Bryant and his family, that is obviously something that you would never hope to hear about. I just hope Gruden handles this with a little more class than he did when Jurivicucios child died in their Super Bowl season, I was somewhat ashamed that Gruden made Jurivicucios attend practice and meetings when his child was terminally ill. I understand how important football may be to people, but sometimes we need to step back and look at what’s important in life.

I can't even imagine what they are going through
My thoughts and prayers go out to them. I don’t have kids either, however I do have two nephews and would be just sick if anything happened to them.

I would die if anything ever happened to my little girl or
my son. I feel for all parents who have lost a child. I get nervous when my son asks to get deployed to Iraq. Part of me says go for it (the military part and proud American part) But the dad in me says no.

I saw a lot of SIDS when I was a medic.
There aren’t words for how terrible it is for the families.
I am grateful beyond words for my daughter, and don’t know if I could handle such a loss. My heart goes out to anyone who has lost a child.
