"I told Mike Shanahan, 'You got a hell of a football team. But we were better today, podnah.' ''
-- Kansas City coach Herm Edwards, after the previously winless Chiefs defeated the previously unbeaten Broncos 33-19.

Kiss my ass Herm

Watch for the rubber match in December
I predict that Denver will blow KC out..
Herm didn’t really have to say anything to fire up the Broncos. Their embarrassment is enough. However, everything Herm can say will help. C’mon, Herm, let’s hear some more from you. There’s some space left on the bulletin board.

At least Shanny won't be getting one of these at the end of the season

I’ll give props to KC’s players, but Herm can kiss my bumper!

Please talk smack Herm
Cause lord knows Shannan doesn’t have a long memory (you should talk to AL Davis about that) and remember you play us again in December, so talk now, while you can, I will be curious to hear your comments after the game in December.

Thanks for clarifying
I had NO idea what the hell “podnah” meant. I think it’s hilarious that the journalists made sure to write “podnah” instead of “partner” just to make sure everyone knew Herm looked like an idiot.

I have no problem with what Herm said given the context: a post-game rah-rah session with his own team.

Ya, this was said to his team after the game
You can say a lot about Herm, but he is a good guy. Terrible coach, but a good guy.

Oh Herman...
Not only does he struggle with math (as repeatedly seen in the context of clock management,) he chooses not to pronounce “partner” correctly. What a credit to growing and developing as a student-athlete at San Diego State University.

I have no problem whatsoever with what Edwards said. He may not be a very good coach, but he always seemed like a pretty class act to me.

You guys consider that smack talk?
Believe me, it’s not. That’s just Herm.

Personally...
I am fine with it. Herm is a good guy, but whatever will help the Broncos play better the next time these two teams play I am all for, though I think the motivation of their own performance should be enough….

This is smack talk....don't think so.
I honestly don’t see anything wrong with it. He is right, they did play better than we did. We’ll just have to be the better team in December.

I took the 9 or 10 wins option, but
I can see maybe 11 or 12 wins. I just could not vote “terrific team.” I’m going with the rather weak schedule.
I will go with 0-1 in the playoffs, though.

Did this vote happen under another story?
