Each year, I have given my thoughts and expertise a run for their money by publicly making my picks for each game every week. To add a twist, the fine contributors of MileHighReport have agreed to do the same, with the winner lying claim to the Title of "Best Game Picker On MHR Until Next Year..." or something like that.

To pick against the Broncos? Will anyone stick their neck out next week?

Would it not be better, when it comes to the Broncos, to get predicting stuff that really matters like how many sacks they’ll get, how many rushing yards, how many times Nate Webster will lose his helmet?

Guru is the biggest realist I think, but he is also an optimist. I'd bet on either styg or HT. ;)

I’ll probably pick against the Broncos in my money league….but that’s only because money is involved.

Vikings...my favorite NFC team...hmm, favorite is too strong a word.

The last time I did one of these...

Me and one of my friends did this for a season and did better than all but one of the ESPN analysts(Salsbury). After that my level of respect for ESPN went in the tank. That was two seasons ago.

I think the tv and radio guys try to be too smart about things and tend to go for the

“surprise” pick rather than picking likely winners and losers. Those of us who take things realistically look for likely winners and losers while throwing in a few surprise picks.

My dad was into doing weekly picks ever since I was a kid....

I spent 20 long hard years to take him down and now he’s lost interest in doing picks every year. I guess that’s how it goes when your son beats you down every year and rubs it in your face! Seriously…losing every year tends to piss you off after a decade or two. I actually can empathize with the pain the conquered fader nation must feel each and every week. mwhahahaha

This will be my third year doing picks with non family…I got 4th out 36 my first year, 8th last year out of 32….it gets a lot tougher to succeed against real fans of the NFL. Last year was the last time my dad did picks and I beat him by 12 games and still came in 8th place in my money league. I think I like the pick’em leagues more than fantasy football…it must be a control thing. ;)

I might talk some smack to the other guys up there, but I think I might have the most trouble in this grouping here. All I know is, I hope to God I don’t finish last!!! It’s hard enough to live down some of the other things that have happened around here. lol

My bold prediction here.....

Styg is dangerous…every one of his picks that are different than mine scare me. I think I am strong enough against the others to trade off some to not gain or fall too far… but styg’s picks could slaughter me if things go badly. Can’t wait…I’ll be in this thread off and on tomorrow to talk some smack. ;-)

Just to let you guys know.

I picked TB over NO in my e-mail to Guru, but I have no idea why I typed it. At the time of this comment, TB is winning. But I’m clueless as to why my brain let me type “TB over NO”, especially when I expect NO to have a deep playoff run, and to dominate th NFC South. This wasn’t a fancy pick, just a bone headed typing error on my part. lol
