Brett Favre's regular

season debut for the Jets is just moments away. Chad Pennington didn’t do much on the first drive against his old team.

Well that bodes well for my 5-11 prediction for the Lions....bodes not so well for my 3-13 Falcons prediction.

On his second drive,

Favre completed a 56-yard TD to Jerricho Cotchery. Sold the fake quite well.

Chiefs come back to reality....

Give up a 52 yard pass on 3rd and 11 from the 1 yardline. Moss already over 100 yards receiving…

The Miami special teams looks like the 2007 Broncos

They’ve had a 9 yard punt and now a kickoff out of bounds.

And despite what the MHR computer says, my gut tells me to root against the Pats even though they are playing the Cheifs. (NE up 7-0 after Moss caught a 10yarderr from Cassel)

by MattR on Sep 7, 2008 11:51 AM MDT   0 recs

As the season goes on...

…and teams actually have records, the computer should make decisions that make more sense.

can't believe the jets have no other options

I can understand going for the TD over a 40 yd FG. But someone on the team has to be able to kick an XP.

that Tom Brady was going to get hurt would you still pick the Pats?

anyone here

a Bengals fan?

I’m wondering about their TE crew, how good/bad they might be…
Utecht is a known quantity to me, how about the others?

by poorboywilly on Sep 7, 2008 12:46 PM MDT   0 recs

I'm sure I'm one of very few here with this game

but Tampa Bay’s Tanard Jackson (FS) is a BEAST. He is one hell of a defensive back, he gets to the ball at the perfect time, every time.

"I could never quite get the hang of Thursdays..."

by FlaBroncoFan on Sep 7, 2008 12:49 PM MDT   0 recs

yeah

I’ve got either Jets at Mia (shudder, beyond watching Favre) or Seattle Buffalo, which is actually quite a good game here.

by poorboywilly on Sep 7, 2008 12:53 PM MDT to parent up   0 recs

HAHA never mind

He just got called a hold for tackleing the guy who beat him, and he got a trip earlier…

Yeah i agree, i watched that exact thing on youtube 3 years ago off some japanese gameshow and it gave me a laugh for the 1 minute clip, but i couldnt imagine a whole show

same here

only I saw it like last year, maybe… I got laughter from sheer confusion as to how that could ever be on television

by FlaBroncoFan on Sep 7, 2008 12:57 PM MDT to parent up   0 recs

omg

i saw that and thought it was a joke.

They revel in having terrible, trashy television. The only good shows on fox they won’t keep on the air (Family Guy) because they are “too risque”.

to be in the wildcard race they’ll need to win some divisional games. The way they look today they won’t win many…

speaking of NE...

I saw Brady went out…

1. Any word yet?
2. Could KC actually beat them?? Huard just had a 13yd TD pass to Bowe

Only word...

was Brady is Questionable to return, which knowing the Pats means he is done for the day at least….

K.C. is running the ball well on NE, and the Pats were just forced to punt. It is getting very interesting….
