All together now...HA! HA!
via megaline.files.wordpress.com
In the immortal words of Nelson Muntz, "Ha ha!". And so the "mighty", "run away with the division", and "super bowl contenders" San Diego Chokers go down to Carolina Panthers 26-24. But how can this be? I thought they were unbeatable and the dominant force in the division. This ruins my worldview!!! My question for everyone is this, how do you feel about the Chargers loss? I think i
t's great because it gives us a chance to start strong early in the season. And now that Brady appears to be banged up for the foreseeable future...giddy up, boys!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Bye bye baby, Phillis. Maybe you should all go to the water park or do a round of steroids to take the edge off the loss.
I watched the Brady game. Matt Cassel took them on a 99 1/2 yard scoring drive. Brodie Croyle got hurt too, and it is really noticeable how much better Damon Huard is than him. He almost pulled it out in the end, but some boneheaded playcalling by Herm (imagine that) doomed them. I had it called in MHR Radio too, that the Chiefs would win in OT. Guru laughed at me, but I was almost right.
I could be wrong, but I believe a Raider is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.

Loooong season ahead.
And we haven’t even seen the Broncos in a regular season game yet. I’m going to give it a month.

I was in quite the good situation for this game.
If the San Diego won, I would have been in the driver seat to win the cash for my football pool. If they lost, the Broncos would have an oppurtunity to be in first all by themselves by the end of monday. I was rooting for the second!!!

Jules: A (Eddie) Royale with cheese! You know why they call it that?
Brett: Because of the metric system?
Jules: Check out the big brain on Brett! You're a smart mother******. That's right. The metric system.

2-0 and 0-2
After next week, Denver will be 2-0 and San Diego will be 0-2 after we beat the Raiders tomorrow night and the Chargers next week.

Let's not get too excited yet....
we need to deal with the conquered fader nation first. Once that is out of the way, we need to get some good rest and be ready for a very pissed off team. Since they kicked in the Broncos’ teeth last year in Denver, there is some major hell to pay.

also,
don’t forget the chargers started off slow last year too but still finished 1 game away from the SB.

I agree
On to the chargers, I think a flaw has been exposed. J. Williams isnt the player he was, I think the lingering injuries on his part are taking a toll. Some of the media here were complaining that it looked as if some of the Panthers were going after Merrimans knee. No kidding. I hate people who are so shocked this would happen in pro football. Even TJ on ESPN’s countdown said that would happen. He should know he played with a bum knee more than once.
But now is not the time for the Broncos to look past the faders or Denver will have the same record as the Chargers

Jesus...
Broncos have yet to play a snap and people are expecting 2-0 and a solid lead in the division. Let’s hope our boys don’t drink the same Kool-Aid because that can come back to bite you…

i think we are more pissed
at them for last season, than they will be for losing on the last play(that was beautiful, by the way, i lept off my couch). they are probably more stunned than anything, but either way it is going to be a slugfest on sunday. this should be epic. but first things first, there is the matter of a certain evil emperor to be taken care of, in 20 hours! this s.d. loss will fire us up, i think

I sense some subtle
disturbance in the schadenfreud. Fair enough, we deserve some abuse, the Bolts came out flat and the Panthers came to play. I’ll tell you what though, I think Carolina is in the playoffs this year.

I watched the last 5 minutes of that game. It wasn’t just my hatred of the Chargers, but I sensed that last throw was going to be a TD. I was so happy.

I nearly had a coronary when it appeared that Delhomme had wasted...
the Panthers chance at three plays inside the red zone by failing to call the timeout, but with that short come back route he was able to fit two plays into 6 seconds. Heart stopping to say the least.

Easy now.......................
I’m pretty excited about SD losing, it didn’t surprise me because Norv Turner coached teams always seem to underacheive. That being said, the Chargers always give us their best effort. We need to see how our youth responds to games that count before we start thinking division lead. I am cautiously optomistic and I do think we have the talent to win the division, just not sure it’ll be this year unless our rook’s play like vets. We could go 13-3 or we could just as easily go 9-7. We might be a year away yet. It all depends on how our young guys respond to real NFL games. All that being said, I laughed my A_ _ off when SD got beat at home to open the season. They have left the door open, the question is, will our young team run through it?
The player who thinks he can and the player who knows he can are two different players, which one are you???

I had a sd fan over to watch the game on Sunday Ticket
and he was PISSED! It was great!
After watching the game, I think he was pretty resigned to the fact that they were going to lose since the Panthers pretty much dominated them (except for a couple of drives), but it was still fun.
BTW, I picked the Panthers in the pools that I’m in, so I saw it coming :D
