SPAGS!!!
Sweet! Now that Philly has bounced the Giants from the post-season, it's time for Bowlen to make that call.
"Steve, sorry about that game. How would you like to coach a team with a really good offense already in place? Well, let's chat then."
Seriously, even if Spagnuolo is not the guy who the Broncos end up getting, it's great to know that it won't be just because he was unavailable. I've personally shifted my choice a couple times, but have really come back to Spags as my #1. Watching not only the scheme his defense employs but the overall attitude of that defense is impressive. I'd even like to see our offense play with that kind of intensity.

I can deal with bears....sharks on the other hand.......of course, I am not talking about if I were menstrual(I’m a guy so that isn’t it), but yeah. I can deal with bears if my arm or something was bleedin’, but sharks? I’ll pass on those. The worst feeling in the world is to be out in the surf and feel something very large brush up against your leg as you were alone waiting for your next wave. I don’t think I’ve gone out past waist deep in the ocean since. lol It was probably just a damn dolphin or something, but yeah. Screw sharks and the evolutionary train they rode in on!

As I was watching the game,
I kept arguing with myself, in a 2008 Broncos Multiple Personality way… “This Spagnuolo guy is the best. I’d LOVE to have him as our head coach. I hope the Giants lose because then Bowlen could offer him the job sooner.”
“But wait!” says my other half. “If he loses in a big game like this, is he really the BEST choice?”
Neither one of us know. Again, we’re glad the decision isn’t up to us.

The loss in this game isn't doesn't make me that worried
After all, the Giants already won the big game last year

The Giants D isn't the reason they lost.
They actually played pretty well on that side of the ball considering they held the Eagles O to less than 300 yards, and one of the TDs they gave up was from the 1 yard line.

3/13 - 23%
The Giants THIRD DOWN EFFICIENCY sucked! Their defense gave them plenty of ammo to shoot with today. The offense laid an egg.
I wish Woody Paige was our coach!

Seems like Spags is the longshot from all the reports, but I would hope Bowlen talks to him again and maybe Rex Ryan

Common no one thinks it will be Romo?
I vote Romo. Then we won’t have to worry about our DL , they will all be juiced. Not that I condone that. :)

I would be curious to know if Spags at least gets another interview before
Bowlen et al make their final decision. I sure hope they talk with him if they considered him as a potential HC with the Broncos. If not, then let the decision come early this week.
I wish Woody Paige was our coach!

And the coaching search continues....
I was thinking the same thing when I saw the Eagles getting a good lead. I hope he at least gets an interview before we make a decision.

I've heard Spags had bad interviews
Showed up “unprepared” for them. That and his age might keep him from getting a HC job this year.

he was in the middle of the playoffs
i would think he would be concentrating on other things than preparing for an interview. oh well

To McDaniels..."JUST SAY NO"!
All the creative genious we hear about is numbing! He’s simply another Bellichek retread. Bellichek calls the plays and is complete command. At 32, he’d have a hard time gaining respect for his lack of experience and no doubt lack of defensive aptitude…yes, I know he’d find some DC who he thinks would be the right choice. However, we cant afford more experimentation. We need a diehard, knowledgeable, scheme building, talent drafting/acquiring leader who can turn this defense from lemons to lemonade. I say YES TO SPAGS, YES TO FRAZIER, YES TO RYAN. No to everyone else!
That’s how I see it. Cutler keeps his banky(bates), and the offensive scheme goes forward in its current scheme. We must continue investing in offensive talent , looking for that next playermaker (Shonn Greene/Jeremy Maclin?) that makes us unstoppable. Shannon Sharpe is right. All we have to do is move our defense up to the middle of the pack, and we’ll be a contender. I agree!

Disagree
You must not remember when we brough Shanahan in…he was pretty young at the time and had a very very similar past to McDaniels.
I don’t want breakaway speed. I want break-some-poor-fool-as-I-bowl-you-over power getting 6 yards off a play that should have been stopped for 2 at most.

Yes to McDanniells and Capers or Morris....young team needs some young coaches! He is hardly a retread at 32!
