PrintThe Denver Broncos have announced Josh McDaniels as the new Head Coach to replace Mike Shanahan. Pat Bowlen will speak first, followed by Josh McDaniels. McDaniels will answer questions of the media. Woody Paige is currently asking questions. Lord help us. Post your comments below!
The presser started at 5:00 MST. Mac Daddy is currently smacking his lips a lot.
I'm not sure when the presser is scheduled to be over. Someone please help me out in the comments. He is currently addressing many questions, but he is being very indirect about his staffing choices. He also seems to want to have a good amount of control over the offense.

What is he saying now?
McDaniels was the best option for this team. You CAN NOT overfocus on the defense and possibley have Jeremy Bates not progress with Cutler. McDaniels will watch over both sides of the ball, especially the O, while letting a defensive guy handle the D along with an intelligent GM.

McDaniels was the best option for this team. You CAN NOT overfocus on the defense and possibley have Jeremy Bates not progress with Cutler. McDaniels will watch over both sides of the ball, especially the O, while letting a defensive guy handle the D along with an intelligent GM.

I can deal with bears....sharks on the other hand.......of course, I am not talking about if I were menstrual(I’m a guy so that isn’t it), but yeah. I can deal with bears if my arm or something was bleedin’, but sharks? I’ll pass on those. The worst feeling in the world is to be out in the surf and feel something very large brush up against your leg as you were alone waiting for your next wave. I don’t think I’ve gone out past waist deep in the ocean since. lol It was probably just a damn dolphin or something, but yeah. Screw sharks and the evolutionary train they rode in on!

Talking with the Assistant General Manager of the Broncos about selecting Josh.
Apparently, he explained EVERYTHING about his plan for the Broncos in great detail. From OTA’s to player selection, to game planning, to training camp. They said he did this better than anyone else interviewed. They were impressed by that the most.
Talking about how he game plans for opponents, picking weaknesses and attacking. Working with Brady, etc.
Agreed...I bet they announce the signing of Nolan tonight!

I’m feeling better about the coaching change. Wasn’t so sure at first but now feel a fresh shot was needed.
Also feeling good about the possibility of Nolan helming the D. We have better linebackers than we do linemen. Curiously, does that mean Elvis goes to OLB? Woodyard and DJ can peacefully co-exist in the scheme, I suppose. Any hope for Moss in a 3-4?
Finally, papigrande is your avatar/icon the floating tori of Miya Jima, Japan? I’ve been there in person and it’s absolutely stunning.
