Chiefs just got better
According to ESPN, the cheeves just hired Scott Pioli to run the show. They even mention Spags as the first candidate to take over for Herm Edwards. This is not good news at all. I was bummed when King Carl took the bullet and now Edwards getting ousted completes it. Addition by subtraction, unfortunately. This means the cheeves will be in the running pretty soon, too. If I were a charger fan, I'd be bummed seeing my best days in the rear view mirror and no rings to be found.

I am surprised Piolli took the job there
Edwards I think is an underated coach, I am curious if they hire Spags, how much resentment will he have that Bowlen passed him over.

Really?
I’ve always thought Edwards was over-rated. I remember being happy when the cheeves hired him because I thought he didn’t do anything of note at all with the Jets. I’d say his track record with the cheeves bears that out too. They were at least competitive when he took over.

I would say under-rated because it is under-rated how bad he can make a team in a short amount of time
I too am sad to see Herm leave the Chiefs, he was able to turn that franchise into a cellar dweller, he will be missed.

I can deal with bears....sharks on the other hand.......of course, I am not talking about if I were menstrual(I’m a guy so that isn’t it), but yeah. I can deal with bears if my arm or something was bleedin’, but sharks? I’ll pass on those. The worst feeling in the world is to be out in the surf and feel something very large brush up against your leg as you were alone waiting for your next wave. I don’t think I’ve gone out past waist deep in the ocean since. lol It was probably just a damn dolphin or something, but yeah. Screw sharks and the evolutionary train they rode in on!

Papi drinks the KC media kool aid.
Just like I drink the fader and 49er koolaid in Sacramento. I actually thought the Raiders would win on opening day. lol.

Edwards
Has a career losing record over 8 years.
Never got past the divisional round of the playoffs in 8 years.
Once his division once in 8 years.
I mean, thanks for the hard work, Herm, but see ya! There was never any indication that he was a Super Bowl caliber coach.

I'd like to see the Broncos-Chiefs rivalry get its wings back.
Mostly for my own amusement, but also because I have nothing against them and I want to see the AFC West get back to a powerhouse. Plus, we need to take this division back from the Chargers. Restore the rightful order: Broncos-Chiefs-Chargers/Raiders.

Exactly.
If the Chiefs get better, good for them. There’s no way for them to get mind numbingly better in one season or maybe even two, but they’ll improve. That’s good because it means good competition. The AFC West needs to tear up the ‘laughing stock’ tag it has recently earned along with its NFC West counterpart.

Tell that to the Dolphins and Falcons. Both made changes just like the Chiefs and look what happened. And like the Dolphins, the Chiefs lost 10 games by 7 or less pts this season…

Pioli is overrated anyway. Good for the Chefs.
