Shanny to KC!?
While waiting on the bus the other day I was asked what I thought about the shannahan firing (I always wear my Broncos hat) so I told the guy I was shocked, but some what understood. Well, he proceedes to turn his hat around to show a KC symbol(royals not chiefs, but still) so I asked him what his thoughts on keeping Herm was. He goes on to tell me that with their new GM this will help his transition to the new team because Herm knows the personel and what not. He goes on to mention Herm is probably in his last year in KC (contract ends) and sayes they will probably hire shannahan. Say it ain't so Shanny not the Chefs!

I don't see why he would end up in KC
My three points would be:
Norte Dame – Basically great money, all the power you could want, he goes back to the midwest and basically gets paid to be somewhat retired and may end up in the NFL and NCAA HOF’s as a HC, which would probably be a 1st.
Dallas – Jerry pays him something crazy ($10 million) and gives him complete control for at least two to three years to get a SB.
San Diego – Somewhat out of spite but also in order to stay in the AFC West and can stick it to Oakland and Denver.

Except SD is a better team, KC he will have to rebuild
Idon’t think he is in the mood to rebuild a team, he will want a team that can win and have a shot at the title.

I don't think...
Denver is on par with Oakland. Shanny won’t be out to “stick it” to the Broncos. It’s not like we ran him out of town. He was given a final presser at Bronco HQ and there didn’t seem to be any animosity. If anything he totally understood why he was fired.

I agree
My guess is that Shanahan would not want to coach in the AFC West, where he’d have to return to Denver every year.

KC has a GM
I would think that Shanahan would want full control (again). With KC recently hiring Pioli, I don’t see them letting Shanahan come in and take over that position.

You think JJ will give up control?
From what I’ve seen recently, the players don’t even bother talking to Wade, they just go over his head to JJ and voice their problems.
I heard this morning on NFLN that Wade has a problem with the $100 fine that players get for missing meetings or training room appearances (when Parcells used to fine them $5000) and JJ said he didn’t see a need to change the fines.
Sounds to me that this is JJ’s team and he plans to keep it that way.

Shanny...
is going to end up somewhere in the NFL and he must never… ever… ever… win another superbowl.
Best case scenario? He coaches in the NFC. But we have to prepare for the possibility he could end up in the AFC and there is a slim possibility he’ll land in the AFC West.
We can root for him like we do for Broncos Jr. (Houston Texans) but he must never have the success he enjoyed with us.

I've had this argument a lot.
Shanny is NOT coming to KC, no matter how much the fans think they want him. I got into an argument with one guy who proudly announced Mike Shanahan as the “New GM of the Kansas City Chiefs.” I laughed in his face. The overwhelming majority of these guys are idealists, always looking to the best possible solution and disregarding anything else, until someone incompetent is hired and then only focusing on his strengths. They did this with Herm Edwards. Let them have their Rod Marinelli or John Gruden. They’ll be happy at least for a couple of years.
Prove to me that you exist. Do it. Anyone. Just look at my sig, think about the question, and give it a go.

I say no...
…but if you were Shanny would you want to go to KC next year? I would.
