That's a rumor I haven't heard and nobody contacted me about that. I don't know anything about it. I'm preparing for a national championship and that's where all my focus and concentrations are.
Obviously, I'm not a candidate and I'm sure somebody might have told me about that other than you guys. That's not something I'm concerned about whatsoever. It's a great organization but I'm not a candidate for it.

I might actually believe this and I might also believe Bowlen “reaching out to Stoops” to, as someone said in another thread, “cover all the bases” in terms of coaching candidates.
While it is funny to see a statement like that and think immediately of a guy like Nick Saban doing the complete reverse (NFL to the pros) after all those denials, I don’t get the feeling ‘Big game Bob’ would necessarily be the best fit in Denver. I also don’t think he’d be the dishonest type, especially with his team getting set to play in the national championship game, but hey, you never know…
