It's official. The chin isn't coming
Follow this link to ESPN for the story.
I hope that link works. Basically it just says that he's flattered with all the attention he's been given, but he doesn't plan to coach this year.
Sorry Broncoman.
Now what do I say to get to 75 words? I've changed my mind and hope that Sparano can do for our defence what he has done for the Giants. Morris is my second favourite.Does this thing do a word count? It would be nice to know if I'm close. :D

Good
I haven’t said anything about this, but I was never in favor of Cowher. While he is a great coach, I thought that bringing him in would require the largest overhaul of any of the candidates in order to create the sort of team he favors. We don’t have the personnel to run his defense at all, while we have the some young talent that fits with what Spags does. Also, Cowher would be the most likely to overhaul the offense in an attempt to make it fit his coaching personality. I like him, and think he’s a good coach. I just never thought he fit the Broncos very well.

Agreed...
I never saw him being a good fit for Denver’ community or football team (not that he’s not a good HC).

And a great heads up on the situation with Cowher. Good find!

Keep hope alive, and I will, I admit that it appears to be a longshot at this point, but you never know, things can change rather quickl
I mean, who among us thought we would be looking for a HC at this point last week?

Some believe the Devil is in the details.
Just food for thought, I see no absolutely closed door ;
“I don’t plan on coaching next year.” versus “I plan on not coaching next year.”, or “I am not coaching.” , or “I will not be coaching…”
Me thinks he could have been more conclusive……..‘the right situation, the right money’ anything’s possible. That’s why they call it ‘money’……
I personally see ‘Cowher’ as a ‘Steeler’. Someone young like ‘Sprags’ can become a ‘Bronco’…..I’m voting for ‘Sprags’…..JMO

Cowher's not that smart...
I think Cowher speaks his mind and right now he doesn’t want to coach. The one job I think he wanted was in Carolina. Too bad they kicked ass this year.
I wish Woody Paige was our coach!

Very true
I also noted he did not say he was not interested in the Broncos job, only that he did not want to be considered for the Jets or Browns jobs. I think he will leave the door open, but it will be up to Bowlen to convince him.

PS -
‘Young’ in the sense he’s not only not acquired an associated ‘Pro Team’ label, but does has the time to do so…..and hopefully the hunger.
