I am disappointed to hear that Spagnuolo isn't in the front running. But this could be good news in terms of Cutler's Development. If McDaniels gets it, I could see Crennel coming in as DC, but the only problem is we don't really have the personnel for a 3-4 defense.

What else would be intriguing is Scot Pioli coming with McDaniels as GM. Him working with the Goodmans could produce some interesting draft picks.

I generally like Adam Schefter

But in this particular case I am not impressed. His entire piece is based on what league insiders (not team insiders) tell him. And those insiders seem to basing their opinion on Bowlen’s past history and speculation about how McDaniels would help Cutler, not what they hear from sources within the Broncos. Frankly, it is a “conventional wisdom” piece and does not seem any more credible that any of the analysis I have read on this site for why Bwlen should go in various directions. The only difference is that Shefter has the ability to reference unnamed league insiders.

Schefter's speculation

I like Schefter, and he has sources with the Broncos, but this is according to "league insiders’ and seems based totally on speculation. Bowlen hired young coaches? Just Shanahan, and besides, Bowlen is older now. Sounds like Schefter needed a column for Monday morning.

Schefter's a Moron! He doesnt even have Bronco sources on this piece but that doesnt stop him from going full steam ahead...does it?

I saw this last night, and didn't find it particularly credible...

so I didn’t post it on here. It’s clearly just supposition on Schefter’s part.

I seriousness thought….I don’t like the idea of McDaniels as our HC.

It would be like replacing Shanahan with a less experienced Shanahan.

we’re putting in a younger shanahan without the GM label and are going to can Bates. BRILLIANT.

I agree, Larsen shouldn’t get any bigger. I am getting tired of his bone crushing hits knocking the pixels off my TV, once they fall to the floor they are very hard to find.
