Ryan Clady ROY
"Ryan hasn’t been quite as impressive as the less-heralded Clady."
Ryan Clady greatly impressed all of us this year. Only allowing .5 sacks through a whole season and something like 3-4 penalties is remarkable for a rookie LT. This kid is by far the best LT in the game and should have gone to the Pro Bowl over Joe Thomas and Jason Peters. I know Thomas and Peters gave up alot more sacks but I could not find the exact numbers. Michael Roos deserves to go to the bro bowl. Our whole line this year was great but Clady is the anchor and plays the most important position.

At least we got some love from that website. I noticed Eddie Royal finished 8th on their ROY list.
Cool, thanks for the find!
This is my GAP, there are many like it but this one is mine. Without my GAP I am useless, without me, they will run through my GAP. I will protect my GAP and have my brothers back on his. I will not be moved from my GAP, I am a crazed dog that patrols this area and will defeat all who entire it. I own this GAP, it is mine. I bought it with blood and sweat. I will not be pushed. I will not be moved. This Sunday I will make a stand and a statement.

There's one more chance though...
I’d say he’s got a good shot at being named All-Pro which would be fitting for him – everyone knows he should’ve gone to the Pro Bowl, and he has played like a top 3 tackle this year.

Clady was seriously promoted after it was too late for him by many mainstream media outlets, so I at least expect him
to become a household name next year. At least Jake Long didn’t get to the Pro Bowl…that would have been insulting since Clady has played better so far.

John Madden featured Clady dominating in the SD game...
and had some nice stuff to say about him. It got overshadowed by the game, unfortunately.

Great reporting, our guy(s) deserve all the credit possible.
The 2008 draft might have been our best ever. Any takers on finding a draft that produced more value so quickly?
I agree, Larsen shouldn’t get any bigger. I am getting tired of his bone crushing hits knocking the pixels off my TV, once they fall to the floor they are very hard to find.

The gauntlet has been thrown! Can anyone name a worse draft than 2003?
I could try to find a worse draft, but I don’t think I want to reflect on disasters of that nature.
If no one can find a draft with more negative value, then MHR kudos to robbo650!

2001 is close
Willie Middlebrooks, Paul Toviessi, Reggie Hayward, Ben Hamilton, Nick Harris, Kevin Kasper
Ben Hamilton may be the only saving grace. Actually Hayward was effective for a while but we let him go.

ha! 2003 was a pretty bad draft too. Good job. :)

Sadly, I don't think well ever see a offensive linemen win the award in this age...
Yes, I'm a Diamondback and Suns fan. So you may be wondering, "Why does this fool like the Broncos so much?"
A: The Cardinals are too hard of a pill to swallow. Oh yeah and that Elway dude....

O-Line stats
Hey guys,
I have heard the stats on Clady (0.5 sacks given up, just a few penalties recorded), but haven’t been able to find O-Line stats like this on the web anywhere. Are they accessible somewhere, or are they just kept by the teams and released in specific instances like this? Other O-Line stats I’ve heard about (and seen in news articles) but never seen in whole: # of pancake blocks, assignment grade (i.e. how often you complete your blocking assignment, although that would be tough in a zone-blocking scheme since you don’t have an assigned player).
They are somewhat subjective, of course, but it would be cool to see the players ranked.

There isn't anything like that out there yet
the closest thing is Stats Inc. They have lots of different ways of tracking common stats and splits, and for Oline they track sacks allowed and penalties committed.
But the only way to grade the Oline at this point in terms of knockdowns, TD% etc. is to try to track the stats yourself.

Sweet, that's a good start
Here’s Clady: http://hosted.stats.com/fb/playerstats.asp?id=8789&team=7
Confirms the 0.5 sacks and 3 penalties all year
This site is not very user-friendly however, I can’t figure out how to get a stack ranking of all O-Lineman (or even just tackles) for these kind of stats…they don’t appear in any of the drop-downs at the bottom of the front page.

Scary!
I was looking at the Broncos team stats and guess who had all of 1 assisted tackle in the 14 games he played in.
None other than our future hof’r at MLB, Niko the Greeko!
Off topic, but it needed to be pointed out!
