Six Super Bowls ago, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hoisted the Lombardi Trophy at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium, little did anyone know that two of that team's lowest-level coaches would soon be among the hottest names in the business.
In the past three seasons, Montrae Holland has played for three of the NFL's most ingenious offensive coaches — Sean Payton, Mike Shanahan and Jason Garrett. .
It's one of the taboo subjects that will put a slow burn under Bob Stoops. Discussing the Broncos' coaching opening ranks right down there with Oklahoma's recent BCS bowl record among Stoops' big beefs.
Add a sixth candidate and a third defensive coordinator to the Broncos' head coaching shortlist. The team will interview Leslie Frazier, the Minnesota Vikings' defensive coordinator, Wednesday afternoon at Dove Valley.

Someday came a little more quickly than Rick Dennison thought it would. Because while interviewing to be a head coach was something the Broncos' offensive coordinator was preparing for in recent years, to interview for that job in Denver wasn't on the radar

• Mike Shanahan didn't have the talent at his disposal to do much better than 8-8 this season. Of course, Shanahan had final say on all personnel matters, so the deficiencies on the Denver Broncos roster can be traced back to him. That's a reason Shanahan was fired after 14 seasons as Broncos coach

I hate this….pick a damn coach already!
This is my GAP, there are many like it but this one is mine. Without my GAP I am useless, without me, they will run through my GAP. I will protect my GAP and have my brothers back on his. I will not be moved from my GAP, I am a crazed dog that patrols this area and will defeat all who entire it. I own this GAP, it is mine. I bought it with blood and sweat. I will not be pushed. I will not be moved. This Sunday I will make a stand and a statement.

I don’t want the Broncos to jump the gun by, for example, not hiring Spagnuolo because he’s not available until maybe February. Hate to see a ten year decision made because of a month.

I agree
We can’t get too overzealous and force something that isn’t a good fit, I think sometimes we worry more about what the other teams are doing versus us, then again, it may all be a smoke screen by Bowlen and Cowher is calling moving companies as we speak.

I hear ya guys.
I want a HC coach now so the coaching staff can start getting ready for the draft and get the identity on defense we need. Don’t rush a decision, yet don’t take too much time and miss the guy you want.
