In the shot heard round the world, Denver signs Clint Oldenburg
Well, maybe not the earth shaking news we all were hoping for, but thought I would keep the fans updated. Looks like Denver likes CSU offensive lineman.
Anyways, following copied off Denver Broncos web site:
BRONCOS SIGN T CLINT OLDENBURG TO FUTURE CONTRACT
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Thursday announced the signing of tackle Clint Oldenburg to a reserve/future contract. He officially will be added to the club’s roster at the conclusion of the 2008 NFL season in February.
Oldenburg (6-foot-5, 300 pounds) is a second-year player who spent the final 10 weeks of the 2008 regular season on St. Louis’ practice squad after competing in training camp with the Jets. Selected by New England in the fifth round (171st overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft from Colorado State University, Oldenburg has appeared in two games for his career with that experience coming as a member of the Jets as a rookie.
At Colorado State, Oldenburg was a 12-game starter at left tackle during his senior year. He began his collegiate career as a tight end and also saw time at guard for the Rams.
Oldenburg was named the top prep athlete in Wyoming and received all-state honors as a linebacker/tight end at Campbell County High School in Campbell County, Wyo.
He was born on Sept. 9, 1983, in Sheridan, Wyo.

Now that jersey I had custom made with his name on the back
will be put to good use! Can we say “hip, hip, huh?” :)

That's awesome!
He was in one of my journalism classes at CSU! He’s a bright, friendly and really cool guy. Glad to see he made it to the Broncos!

How about a 6'5, 330lb OT? We need to stay quick and athletic, but get a bit bigger as well.

Go Rammies!
I graduated from CSU with a BA in Tech Journalism and Poli Sci. Although that was a few years ago so I’m sure we didn’t cross paths. Good luck on the job search.
How about that Gartrell Johnson kid? I wouldn’t mind seeing him in the orange and blue with Hillis, and Torain. (of course I’d like to see Van Pelt come back as a safety).

As the reloading season unfolds
one priority will be depth at O-Line. With Nalen retiring we will need more depth. Casey won’t last forever.
