Pats OC Josh McDaniels most likely invited back
It appears likely that Denver will bring back McDaniels for a second interview early next week for their vacant head coaching job. The Broncos interviewed their seventh candidate yesterday.
It’s also possible Denver could offer McDaniels the job if its search commitee decides he’s the one to replace Mike Shanahan.
McDaniels met with the Broncos in Providence on Sunday. The opening round of interviews concluded yesterday with Miami assistant head coach and secondary coach Todd Bowles.
McDaniels reportedly is a favorite to land the job, even though the 32-year-old is one of the least experienced of the lot.
Two of the head coaches to serve under Denver owner Pat Bowlen (Dan Reeves and Shanahan) were both young and possessors of great offensive accumen, qualities McDaniels certainly has.
Although the Broncos did extend the contract of offensive coordinator Rick Dennison, that shouldn’t be an issue if Bowlen ultimately deems McDaniels to be coach.

Thanks for the Link, MaPatsFan
Unfortunately, it isn’t Rick Dennison that had his contract extended, it was Jeremy Bates, a young offensive mind himself.
Dennison had the title of OC but focused on the running game and offensive line.
Bates was the “Passing Game Coordinator” and called all the plays…

Thanks MaPatsFan.
I wouldn’t necessarily be displeased with McDaniels. He’s young and a great offensive mind, and he comes with several built in nicknames (Mac Daddy, the Restaurant to BMarsh’s Big Mac and Eddie Royal’s Quarter Pounder, Mac… Daddy)
BTW, how do you say you’re name? I keep thinking in my head, “MAAAAAHH!!! PatsFan.” Please tell me that is it and the Ma doesn’t stand for Massachusetts.

I can deal with bears....sharks on the other hand.......of course, I am not talking about if I were menstrual(I’m a guy so that isn’t it), but yeah. I can deal with bears if my arm or something was bleedin’, but sharks? I’ll pass on those. The worst feeling in the world is to be out in the surf and feel something very large brush up against your leg as you were alone waiting for your next wave. I don’t think I’ve gone out past waist deep in the ocean since. lol It was probably just a damn dolphin or something, but yeah. Screw sharks and the evolutionary train they rode in on!

Uhhmm...
Ok, I won’t tell you it stands for Massachusetts. ;-) But it does. Lived 40 miles outside of Boston all my life.
