Thank You

Members of MHR periodically post comments about how thankful they are for the site, usually because it has served as a sanctuary over the last few tumultuous months.  I know it has for me.  I visit MHR almost every day.  MHR now serves as my primary source of Broncos’ news or informs me about Broncos’ news posted elsewhere.  From the comments others leave, it seems that many people feel the same way, and the growing membership reveals that the people who run and contribute to this site are doing something very right.  I wanted to post a thank you to people who make MHR wonderful and to invite others who feel the same way to do the same thing.

Star-divide

I joined MHR in May, just after the draft and while the controversy over McDaniels and Cutler was still raging.  It has been a wonderful place to get information about the Broncos that exhibits optimism filtered by reason.  For me, MHR has been a teacher, a community, a resource, a friend, and an inspiration to become a more fervent and better informed Bronco fan.  Thank you.

There have been so many posts and comments I have enjoyed that I cannot possibly give credit to everyone, but the people I can think of currently whom I want to thank are

John Bena for running the site, posting information quickly, and the radio program – I am especially thankful for how you keep the site respectful and positive

Broncobear for wonderfully written and insightful essays and posts that are a joy to read -- I always pay attention when bear has an opinion on a subject

Tedbartlet905 for his breakdowns and observations – I always learn something

Hosierteacher for chalk talk and insights into the subtle aspects of the game – I always learn something in these posts too

NYCbroncosfan for gathering the news so I don’t have to search myself -- I always look forward to coffee in the morning and clicking on the stories provided by NYC

Many others I also enjoy regularly, but by no means everyone – Boydy2669, Endzone, Bshrout, Californiajoe, Kaptainkirk, Zappa, Lebowskibronco, etc.   Thank you all.

I feel the same way

This site has been a safe haven of calm and stability. Each of the writers you mentioned add a great deal of clarity, stability, and rational thought, to effectively counter the baseless diatribe that has been dominating the airwaves in recent times.

I’d like to throw my hat in the ring and give my thanks as well. Rec’d, of course.

We should also acknowledge Styg50

for his insights and reliably brilliant prose.

For me, this site is the saving grace of the entire internet.

Thankyou for posting my thoughts also

While I have often expressed my thanks to the staff at MHR I would also like to add my thanks to all who post and comment. It has been a great learning experience for me as well.

I will add my “highly Rec’d of course” for this post. Great job.

PD - you deserve a word of thanks too,

for all that you add to MHR.

I agree with each and every one of you — MHR has some of the best people around, all of whom have contributed to my on-going enjoyment of all things Broncos. All of you have helped me deal with this off season — even the posters with whom I disagree. Every voice is valued.

Ditto, ditto and ditto

I feel like we have all become like a family here. This place has become like a home away from home. Everynight after work I come here to read the posts, articles and see what is up.

You all deserve a round of applause, kudos and a big thank you.

Now what do you do for an encore?

I may be addicted to MHR

i’m on this site like 20 times a day. I think I need counseling…where’s Lebowski at?

by T.Dot_Bronco on Oct 10, 2009 11:24 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

I hear ya...

On this site all day.

Being up in Canada doesn’t give much access to the Broncos. This site covers it all and then some.

Many thanks to all the contributors.

Lebowski had to leave

he is in counseling too.

Even Kiszla mentioned MHR today in the Denver Post

although he found a negative quote here about Orton somehow….

Nice post, phon. Add my ditto to the chorus above.

BTW, I did a search for that MHR quote in Kiz’s article. Nothing came up…

Very interesting.

by jubei on Oct 11, 2009 8:57 AM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Funny thing, too.

If Kiszla was looking for an anti-Orton quote, he needed look no further than the message boards of his own website.

by jubei on Oct 11, 2009 8:58 AM MDT reply actions   0 recs

I remember the quote...

I think I can remember who said it as well.
The FUNNY thing was all the POSITIVE quotes that appeared on that thread also. It was a discussion after the game on that thread…..and the MAJORITY of posters were arguing for Orton, yet Kiszla takes a one of the few negative comments…..typical!
