No…it’s a nice day. Probably about 40-50 degrees and cloudy. It could snow a bit later. Eastern CO is under winter storm advisory until tomorrow.

If you are all into history repeating itself:
Last year, Matt Cassel didn’t start doing anything special until week 7 against Denver. That was also his 5th game starting (they had a bye week in week 4). This is also Orton’s 5th game starting. Things should be opened up quite a bit today for him.
So, if this playbook is what we all think it is, today should be Orton’s day to really start clicking and getting the book down pat. Also, look for Orton to have a better game since there is no snow yet.
I think McD has been holding some of the book back for a lot of reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is simply because Orton, like Cassel, has needed some time to get comfortable with it.

Conversion to the new offense will probably take longer for Denver
The whole team, not just the QB has to make the conversion. The NE players had been using that system for years, and most of them were selected for their ability to fit into that system.

Last week we were down 10 and look what happened. We're still in this.

In the past our D wouldn't have stopped them on that third down
or gotten a three and out when we needed one. I’m still encouraged by what I’m seeing. If our offense will calm down and we hold onto the ball, I think we’ll be fine.
