A Star was born today
On a day where essentially all game-hype was about teacher versus pupil - a Denver Defense versus a Tom Brady Offense - we could have easily missed what I predict to be a turning point for one of Denver's Star's.
But had I taken a minute to fill my victory-beer during Coach McDaniels' passionate fist pumps after a hard earned victory, I may have missed perhpas the most important aspect to Denver's new 5-0 team, at least from a fan perspective anyway. You see, in my mind, Denver, the city and its fans, had a son born today... and it's neither a troubled receiver, nor a rookie running back. No, it's our youthful and vibrant new Head Coach, Josh McDaniels.
Of course there will be ups and down, cloudy skies and doomful days, but make no mistake; today was not only Josh's day, but it was also the day he was really, truly born into the hearts and minds of Bronco fans accross the nation. Don't believe me? Watch the fans react to him again. A star was born today, and that won't change.
Congratulations to the Broncos and to their coaches for a well earned victory. They deserve it, as do all of we loyal fans.

Amen
I loved it when he ran around and got excited after the game. It especially feels great because we beat the evil Patriots.
Fellow Bronco fans, get ready, because our future looks very bright. We are going to great and wonderful places during the next several years that this man is our coach.
Amen also
Who didn’t love it when the national media was showing Coach running down the sidelines to the south stands, fist pumping and whooping??
I loved it a lot

You're exactly right!
The best part of this victory is that we didn’t play our best. Fumbles, interception, poor special teams play and the Broncos STILL found a way to win. McDaniels has a very bright future and so do the Broncos!!

I think we had 2 stars born today. Kyle Orton outplayed Tom Brady too
All week long I heard the Patriots will want to stop Denver’s running attack and make Kyle Orton beat them…..they did and HE did

ditto the amens and the rec
once again, I was on a sailboat and so will have to wait to watch the game on NFL rewind, but I was getting steady updates from my daughters and my future son-in-law. :)

so we’ll keep him, just so we can make fun of him. :D

Are the cowboys
really that bad. I mean overtime with the chiefs. holy cow!!! I think the cowboys have become the most overrated team out there.
no arguments from me
He was so excited that KC led for most of the 1st 3 quarters. :D

By the way all the Boston teams
have lost recently. The Bruins lost to the Ducks, the Angels swept the Red Soxs and most importantly the Denver Broncos won against the Patriots.
I am going to LOVE school this week.
I’ve been hearing crap from Patriots fans all week. I can’t wait to rub their noses in this one.

A little congrats to Pat Bowlen also
No doubt, the Broncos have a very bright future with McDaniels. Orton just seems to be getting better each week. I realize it was an INT but he through it how far?
Clap for em :)
Lovin this. Can’t wait to see all these commentators that doubted the bronc’s and what they have to say now. Or do you still prefer the 2 loss pats in your top 5 nfl teams? :)
When they say,
“How could we have known? Who would have guessed the Broncos would have been good this year?” I’ll try not to throw a football INTO the TV. We knew. That’s who.

MHR knew
95% of us here knew…maybe not 5-0 but a good team nonetheless.

Absolutely! Mr. B deserves accolades as well
And Kyle looked terrific! Glad to see Marshall and especially Royal get more involved. The team is moving the direction it should be: Forward
The star was Orton
I am super impressed with the entire team effort, but the the star of the game was KO. McD had some weak calls during the game. Overall game 5… Orton – A; McD – B.
I loved Orton
No glove, much love! I didn’t mean to take anything away from him. My point was more of fan feelings, not really reality. Orton definitely bought some respect today. I just think McDaniels showed off his passion and his charisma, the ‘X factor’ that average fans will line up behind
Good post
first and foremost elvisalex! I didn’t take it that way. McD is the rockstar of this team for sure. I was just making an observation on today’s game. It was truely a great game. It is great to see 100% of the fans at the stadium pulling in the same direction. The Cleveland game(booing) seems like three years ago instead of three weeks.
LOL too true

A nice quote
From FireJoshMcDanielsNow.com
“Fire Josh McDaniels? No f-ing way!
Obviously, the title of this blog is no longer fitting or appropriate. Stay tuned this week for a major announcement and an official apology to the Denver Broncos’ head football coach Josh McDaniels. "
That made me smile.
Why does Madden suck at ranking the Broncos so much?

I'm with ya totally
The whole….he’s arrogant and whatever…..it needed to be put to rest. This guy deserves to be loved. Certainly he will continue to be critiqued, but it must be in love and with respect…..besides, he ain’t going anywhere.
I thought the same could have been said for K. Orton too. He busted the bubble on his deficiencies. The guy can play and will be a big part of the future. We could finally see that he is getting this whole thing, but its just taking some time. Besides, he was finally 100%. This is the Orton I imagined after the trade.
I still don't think the offense was at 100%
Maybe 75%, and that right there is scary

Much love to both
Kyle showed everyone that he can play with the great QBs in the league, and Coach McDaniels showed everyone that he’s all in on this team. We all should be all in behind him and his guys. They know what they are doing. If he keeps this up, the entire fan base will be going to bat for him. And soon.
Posted this under bear's Quick Recap post, but it belongs here also.
* And, finally, I fell in love with McD today. Yeah, I’ve been dipping the toe in the water for awhile now, but today, I just cannon-balled in. I know many here have been saying, "Jump in, the water’s great!" but, I’ve been cautious, feeling burned before. No more. I love the X’s and O’s, the way the team is prepared, the culture he’s so quickly created here, but what finally got me was after the game, seeing him go over to the sidelines, point up to where his family was sitting (and the crowd, too) and do the 3 full-bodied, striding out fist pumps. I love it! This guy is a hard-worker, but like he said, "It’s alright to have fun." I’m in serious man-crush mode.
