Denver's weak schedule
Even after beating the Pats some folks had the "weak" schedule angle. I think it was on ESPN and they mentioned things the Pats didn't do. But here are some interesting numbers to compare Denver's schedule to the other undefeated teams.
Opponents winning percentage for Denver: .550
Opponents winning percentage for Minnesota: .350
Opponents winning percentage for New York Giants: .300
Opponents winning percentage for New Orleans: .350
Opponents winning percentage for Indianapolis (before tonight's game): .400
Denver has had the TOUGHEST schedule of all the undefeated teams, and even if Indy wins tonight the Titans will not have a win to boost their opponents winning percentage. Oh, and beating Cinci wasn't a fluke -- them being in the game because of a holding penalty at the end was!
GO BRONCOS!!!

absolutely agree
I’ve been preaching this point too.
MSM “experts,” and some non-experts want to point to last season’s standings to calculate strength of schedule. Problem is, with coaching/personnel changes, these are not exactly the same teams as last year, so last year’s standings are meaningless. The only records of significance are the 2009 standings-to-date.

haha
right on man!
I think your comment is no more true than about Cinci. I had this sense after watching some post game that it was only the last two games Denver’s won that prove anything. That is probably because of the history of the Bengals and the silly notion that we fluked that one out! Cinci’s looking like the most quality win so far!

the ironic thing is
before the season they were claiming it was “an impossible schedule” especially for such “a hopeless team” like the Broncos. Now they are trying (falsely) to claim it is a weak schedule. What??

I already seen one comment ...
That coach McDaniel inherited a “really good team” and tried to screw it up but they are winning anyway!!! How lame can people get? Keep it up Broncos!
Good post!!!

Seriously?
That is super freakin’ lame! Was this person a Dolt, Fader or Queef fan? Because that doesn’t seem to have any reasoning behind it and those fan bases best illustrate that level of stupidity!

If McD inherited such a good team
how come that really good team had an epic downfall?
Where was that really good team last year? I didn’t see them once all year.
Curiously, that “really good team” ended 8-8 and watched the playoffs from home. If that’s really good, then we’re set to become legends this year based on this play.

That "inherited team"
Isn’t there only like 40% of them left? Only the REALLY good ones I guess! :)

The Defense
of the last two years was totally bogus.
Mike Nolan deserves as much props as McDaniels.

what should we do about our pass rush
brady had all day. great win tho

The Pats did a good job of
keeping us out of overloads with formations. We had to rush only 3 MANY times today and had Jack Williams in most of the game to cover their slot/TE/RB recievers. I actually thought the pressure was descent given the fact that we rushed mainly 3 or 4 all day and were held ALOT.
One sack/fumble and keeping Brady’s happy feet gong was a good deal to me.

They'll find some way to discount the significance...Bring it!

I was thinking of some things they might say, myself. Broncs without a doubt are the most impressive undefeated team based on the difficulty of opponents they’ve beaten.
