Getting better as the game goes on
One of the more amazing and satisfying things about this Bronco team is how well they are adjusting after halftime - especially defensively. Looking at all five games so far... ONLY Cincinatti was able to score in the second half and even then just once! Since then, the Bronco defense has recorded FOUR straight second half shutouts!!! That is a stunning accomplishment! It seems that so long as we are able to ride out the first half (and the rough first quarters in particular) the Defense has time to stiffen while the offense gells and gets stronger. And getting stronger as the game goes on is a seriously good quality. Annoyingly, that first quarter continues to be our weakness what with penalties (DAL) or turnovers (NE) killing the offense. Hopefully that'll get worked out. But after halftime....lookout Baby!
Scoring opposition by qtr
Cinc 0,0,0,7
OAK 0,3,0,0
CLE 6,0,0,0
DAL 10,0,0,0
NE 10,7,0,0
(And a side note: Knowshon...PLEASE hold on to the ball!)

It's tough to get used to
I remember the Elway years prior to Shanahan where we would hang around for 3 quarters and then Elway would go out and win the game. Along came Shanahan and we’d go and get up on a team by 14 or 21 points by the 2nd quarter, and just hold on. When we had TD (or even Portis) we could grind out the clock enough to win most of our games. The last few years was just awful, every time we had the lead in a close game, I expected to lose. This is a totally different team, we believe we can win at the end, with either offense or defense.

Are we a second half team or what
That is the second game in a row where we have shutout the opponent in the second half. Now bad teams either…Cowboys and Patriots. Good job defense.
Another AWESOME game…..5-0 baby!

Perhaps just accept that New England did a great job tonight
It’s not like the Chargers have the kind of O line that New England showed tonight. NE ran several 2 and 3 TE sets at good times, and generally did a great job. We still shut them down for most of 3 quarters. there’s nothing to be uncomfortable with, just a few adjustments to make. Remember – these are the guys who are near the top of the league in sacks. We didn’t get one today, but we got a lot of nice pressures and Vonnie Holliday got a fumble off a Brady – he could have had the sack, but seriously, a fumble is better. We’re fine.

Actually, the D is perfect...
In the 3rd Qtr!
Plus, we still have the lowest points allowed in the whole league!
Is it OK to start thinking 15-1?

Focus: 6-0

Here's a completion of that stat
In the second half:
Broncos 1200+ yards 59 points
Opponents 500ish yards 7 points
Guru had the exact stat last night but that right there is ridiculous.

While the Coaching staff has been magnificent . . .
… don’t discount the role Rich Tuten has had on the conditioning front. We are bigger and in better shape aerobically and anaerobically, thus, wearing the opponent down (especially at altitude).
