I wonder if Schein read ST&NO

I know I look forward to ST&NO
I’ve noticed CNNSI.com has links to MHR at least twice a week and Tubbs Williamson has no shame in using “Ctrl C” “Ctrl V” when he hijacks what he finds on Horse Tracks.
If they are now stealing your words, welcome to the club.

It’s hard to give points to a semi-strong home team coming off their bye week. Factor in that San Deigo has a very good QB who happens to be playing well and the line makes sense.
The house has won a ton of money on Denver in weeks 1-5 (esp 4 & 5) so don’t expect those lines to change.
by McGeorge on Oct 14, 2009 7:50 AM MDT up reply actions 0 recs
The house always wins money
Regardless of who wins. The line just reflects that most bettors are betting against the Broncos. Vegas is trying to entice bets for the Broncos. Their goal is to get equal amounts of people picking each team.

The Bengals finally cut their long snapper. Wow…. That move was made about four weeks too late. After he snapped the ball about 10 yards over the head of Cincy’s holder in the game vs Baltimore, even announcer Gus Johnson was like "I think he’ll be looking for a new job next week". It was sadly painful watching that guys career fall apart. I doubt he ever plays another down of NFL football.
by McGeorge on Oct 14, 2009 7:45 AM MDT reply actions 0 recs
Is that the same snapper...
That was part of the Christmas Eve game a couple of years ago? I’m thinking of the extra point that Cincy messed up late in the game that gave us the win?
by dpurvis on Oct 15, 2009 10:00 AM MDT up reply actions 0 recs
Just found my answer
Yeah, it’s the same snapper. That was almost three years ago too.

Many thanks, NYC.
I haven’t passed along that sentiment yet. But as a ravenous consumer of all Broncos news, it really hit me this morning that I don’t NEED to go hunting for stories because you’ve done the legwork for us.
Much appreciated.

The only places to get them
Are the Bronco Team stores at Dove Valley and the Stadium. The Phone Numbers are:
Dove Valley (303) 649 – 9777
Invesco (720) 258 – 3300

Sold Out
I called the team store, they sold out of the mustard/brown socks on Sunday (ya think? After that win, of COURSE they did!). They still have some of the away socks (white/brown). They will be getting another shipment of the mustard/brown socks in on Nov. 3rd.

Thanks Kitten
I kind of figured that. There were quite a few pair worn around the Stadium. So I didn’t bother going over to the store. They were out of stock at the Dove Valley store a couple of weeks ago when I was up that way. The guy at the store said they had just shipped their stock over to Invesco. I guess I should have went ahead and ordered them over the phone right then and there.

Shanahan
I would agree with conventional wisdom that Washington and Dallas are the most likely places. While he won’t have total control, they are the only places that will give him the big bucks to replace the $7M he’s getting from Bowlen.
I think the wildcard is Tampa Bay. If they decide to blow out Raheem Morris after one season, the Glazers certainly have the money to throw at Shanny.
by BuckarooBanzai on Oct 14, 2009 11:20 AM MDT reply actions 0 recs
I think Romo would improve with Shanny
they have the college connection and he could be a decent QB. I feel like he bought into his own hype or something/somewhere has messed up his timing and confidence. I think Shanny could do wonders for him.
Of course if I were to hire Shanny I would have to put some DC stipulations in the contract…

so he can’t bring Slowik with him.

Especially Pete Prisco's...
Seriously… he’s obviously still skeptical or once again does no research and has only at most seen the outcomes/highlights of Broncos games.
“Watch out… Monday night could be an ambush” – I am not going to guarantee a victory like some are quick to do. I think that game could turn out a number of different ways. The only thing I don’t see is an ambush by San Diego. That’s laughable. Does he know anything about this team? The Broncos are too well-prepared to be ambushed. You don’t get ambushed unless you aren’t hungry or you are not prepared (kind of like Denver last year on Monday Night against New England).

Enjoyed the article by Mark Judge on coordinators
but to hear him tell it you’d think Nolan hired himself, decided what kind of defense the Broncos should run, and then went out an acquired the players he needed to run it. Maybe while he was at it he hired McDaniels as his head coach. I appreciate the props Nolan is getting—he deserves it—but I’m getting tired of the analysts who were ready to run McDaniels out of town now trying to give all of the credit for the turnaround to Nolan. McDaniels decided what kind of defense he wanted to run, and he hired a coordinator who he thought could run it and who he could effectively communicate with. (He passes on to Nolan the opposing QB’s tendencies and weaknesses, and Nolan devises a way to take advantage of them.) Just as Nolan puts his players in position to succeed, McDaniels, by acquiring the players he needs, by creating a culture of winning, and by communicating effectively with his coordinator, puts Nolan in position to succeed. Okay, I’ve vented. I feel better now.
