Your turn! Vote for the NFL Hall of Fame Class of 2010
With the recent addition of Shannon Sharpe to the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame and the debate of whether or not he will someday be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, I wanted to let you know about the Van Heusen Pro Football Hall of Fame Fan's Choice campaign. For the first time, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is asking fans who they think should be inducted into the Class of 2010. Sharpe is currently ranked 4th and trails former Viking Cris Carter by 443 votes. In just over a week 83,000 votes have already been cast at FansChoice!
Is this the year Sharpe gets the nod from the Hall of Fame? Does Sharpe deserve the coveted honor? It's time for Broncos fans to speak up, be heard and let the Hall know what they're thinking by casting their ballot.
The top 10 list as of this afternoon looks like this:
1. Jerry Rice
2. Emmitt Smith
3. Cris Carter
4. Shannon Sharpe
5. Ray Guy
6. Richard Dent
7. Tim Brown
8. Charles Haley
9. Randall Cunningham
10. Phil Simms

Shannon Sharpe and Jerry Rice should have been there already.
With more teams and more players now than there was 30 years ago the hall needs to think about inducting a couple of more than they do.
To be fair to the HoF commitee this is Jerry's first year of eligibility
I actually like the limit of 5. keep the HoF exclusive to the true greats.
The problem has been the over-emphasis on offensive players getting in over linemen and defensive players thanks to their ability to put up gaudy stats.
As a result there is now a massive backlog of defensive players who deserve to get in but can’t because overrated players like Lynn Swann and Warren Moon have in my view stolen their spots.

I picked Dan Reeves too
he deserves SOMETHING after taking 4 teams to the Super Bowl.
John Clayton is the head Dean at Fail University (known as F.U. in short)
Thanks to MHR (perhaps)...
…Sharpe has shot up to 3rd place.
Keep up the good work gang!

Yeah...that was my first thought.
At this point in the season, all the Rockies' numbers are magic.

Only Modern-Era nominees are on the list
Floyd Little (and Dick LeBeau) are senior nominees
He's part of the senior vote I think?
Two members every year are older players….I think?

Atwater Deserves it
Atwater was one of the most underrated safeties (notwithstanding his numerous Pro Bowl appearances) in the NFL in his day, but if he’s #11, perhaps this is the time he can finally make the cut. I do believe Randall Cunningham deserves admission, but don’t leave out the likes of Charles Haley and Richard Dent either.
Brad James
What happened to TD?
He is all the way down at #30?I voted for Rice,Sharpe,Emmitt,Tim Brown,Atwater Carter and TD

Wow, can they make a website load any longer
Seriously, when it takes 5 minutes to load something is wrong. I know my computer is old, but that’s ridiculous. I’ll try it tomorrow at work I guess.
