Tim Crowder Update
Just thought I would give everyone a heads up on how Tim Crowder is doing. He had 5 total tackles in the game against Carolina. He looks a lot better than Gaines Adams and I just don't understand why the bears would trade a second round pick for Adams... Tough times in Tampa, sure hope they get a high profile couch next year and a new GM.
Go Broncos! they need to wear those uniforms until they lose a game

Thanks for the update.
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.

High profile couch? I think they would prefer a high profile coach instead.

there's nothing more important than rest, though.

Thanks for the update
I always thought Crowder has potential. Dunno what happened.

Crowder
I think his chance at making the team depended on whether he could play OLB. He was a tweener for our new scheme and that hurt him — too small for DE and too big & slow for OLB. And the number crunch hurt him.
Crowder is playing in a 4-3 now. That seems to be a much better scheme for him.
It might be a good time (since it’s bye week) to re-examine our team needs.

Maybe Adams fit their system better...
We’ve certainly seen that with Andra Davis. He was pretty pedestrian in Cleveland. I called him this year’s Niko Koutouvides. The crow was delicious!
On the other hand, Chicago seems to have developed a phobia of draft picks as of late.

Niko, like Crowder, also plays for Tampa Bay this season.

I am not a supersticious person I guess
so I have never understood the facination with uniforms and wins and losses. Shanny didn’t like the orange because the games he happened to wear them in were losses, I am pretty sure the losses had nothing to do with what uniforms were being worn. I just wish they would go back to orange as the home color.

I was at the Pitt game a few years back when Crowder had a monster game. The fumble recovery for a TD was great so he’ll always have a warm spot in my heart I think he just fits a 4-3 DE better and I wish him well.
With good coaching and a good scheme I think he’ll be great.

This reminds me
Happened to be watching highlights and saw that diving touchdown by an old friend of ours, Mike Bell, now with the Saints. I’m glad to see him still in the NFL and still making contributions. I always liked him.

Another Shanny dump off.
Didn’t he get released, not even traded?

Well
He was not drafted and Shanny got close to 700 yards out of him. Not really a legitimate complaint there. Kubiak also cut him. And in the words of Mike Bell,
Bell scored eight TDs and averaged 4.3 YPC as an undrafted rookie in 2006, but admits he “didn’t care” and “gained all that weight” when Mike Shanahan converted him to fullback in 2007 camp. “I would’ve cut me too,” he said. “Nobody wants somebody that’s cancerous to the team.”
