Pro Bowl Voting Starts NOW on NFL.com
2010 PRO BOWL BALLOTING BEGINS ON NFL.COM
Teams to be Announced on Pro Bowl Selection Show December 29 on NFL Network
The polls are now open! Fans can begin voting to select players for the 2010 Pro Bowl, the NFL's annual All-Star Game, the NFL announced today. Voting is available on NFL.com/ProBowl and on web-enabled mobile phones by going to NFL.com.
Of course, if the Broncos get to the Super Bowl, also in Miami the week after the Pro Bowl, none of them will get to play in the game. Such sweet sacrifice.
Balloting for the 2010 Pro Bowl will conclude at on Monday, December 21 following the conclusion of Monday Night Football (Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears, ESPN, 8:30 pm ET). The teams will be announced at 4 p.m. (ET) Tuesday, December 29 on a special NFL Total Access 2010 Pro Bowl Selection Show on NFL Network.
The 2010 Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, January 31, 2010 and televised live on ESPN at 7:30 PM ET from Dolphin Stadium in South Florida, also the site of Super Bowl XLIV a week later on Sunday, February 7.
Fans can buy tickets to the 2010 Pro Bowl at www.NFL.com/ProBowl and TICKETMASTER.COM or by calling 800-745-3000.
The AFC and NFC All-Star squads are based on the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group's vote counts one-third towards determining the 43-man rosters that represent the American Football Conference and National Football Conference in the Pro Bowl. NFL players and coaches will cast their votes on December 22 - 23.
The NFL is the only sports league that combines voting by fans, coaches and players to determine its all-star teams. It was the first professional sports league to offer online all-star voting in 1995.
Quarterbacks DREW BREES, BRETT FAVRE, and ELI MANNING were the top three vote-getters last year with running back CLINTON PORTIS and quarterback KURT WARNER rounding out the top five.
Following is a breakdown of positions and corresponding number of players who will be selected in each conference (43 per conference):

And
Orton
Marshall
Royal – KR/PR
Doom
Dawkins
Bailey
Etc
Why does Madden suck at ranking the Broncos so much?
And Bruton
and their whole line and DJ and Andra, and Haggan, and Moreno and Buck, and Graham, and Renaldo Hill, and Goody, and McBean and Peterson, and Ronald Fields, and Prater (I guess)

I'm voting for him anyway
how cool would it be to have a released punter win a pro bowl spot?
Because Montana has no professional sports, I gotta support the land of my birth.

I wonder- would he get a contract bonus?

good point
I stopped voting for him…although the likelyhood that punters have a pro bowl incentive in their contract isn’t very high…

I kinda wanna vote for Orlando Pace, because he’s made this season better for me too.

Yes, but did you vote for Marquand Manuel?

Man it's a lot harder to fill out the ballots this year
last year we only had a couple of players with legitimate shots at the Pro Bowl. This year we have potential pro bowlers all over the place- and pretty much all of them are gonna be borderline too.

Pro Bowl Misspelled words
Did anyone else notice the Broncos players with misspelled names?

Elivs Dumervil

After all, it’s only one of the most famous names in the U.S….

Ok...so looking into the future, I see the Broncos go to the Super Bowl? What will all those awesome Broncos do
who we voted into the Pro-bowl? Just decline the invite? I wouldnt want them to play in a meaningless game anyway and get hurt….
Ive always thought it is a stupid idea to have the pro bowl before the super bowl
Bleeding Orange & Blue in The Netherlands
Sorry but this is way too early
At the risk of sounding like a curmedgeon…
The season is not even half way completed and already we’re voting for pro-bowl places?
So presumably the second half of the season performance does not count?
thats an aspect I dont get either. After week 7 already? Should be from week 15-17 or something
Bleeding Orange & Blue in The Netherlands
It is ridiculous they allow voting when 65% of the season is yet to be played
but I guess that is what made our quarterback last year get the honor so maybe one shouldn’t knock it? Here’s what a fan posted on The Bronco’s official web site:
marshallman-15 says:

I just voted for the pro bowl, and I picked:
AFC
QB-Orton, Carson Palmer, Matt Schuab
RB – Moreno, Buckhalter, Cedric Benson
WR – Marshall, Royal, Gaffney, Ochocinco
OL- Broncos
TE – Graham ( I can’t beleive Scheffler wasn’t a choice!)
FB – i cant remember
CB – Bailey, Goodman, ?
S – R. Hill, Dawkins
LB – Haggan, DJ Will. Dumervil, Davis, Mualaga, ?
DL – Broncos
K – Prater
P – Lechler (don’t shoot for blasphemy, Kern’s gone!)
PR – Royal
STC – Bruton
Unless, of course, you subscribe to the belief that Denver indeed has the very best personnel in all aspects of the game or to the belief that other fans are less biased than marshallman-15 is, this is a good demonstration of just how meaningless pro bowl voting is. It seems obvious that even more ridiculous than voting early is voting at all.
Well, considering what I know
I don’t know very much about the kind of year anyone who is not a Bronco is having. Of course, I have some impressions of who is good, but that is almost 90% name recognition, and only 10% on how they are actually doing this year. Especially at positions like offensive line, where you would actually need to pay close attention to know who is having a good year.
Not that it matters anyway, since even if Broncos make it at every position, none of them will play so they are fresh for the Super Bowl.
