Adam Schefter answers readers' question on Clady
Q: For your money, who's the better o-lineman, Ryan Clady or Jake Long? Both guys seem to have played key roles in turning around abysmal teams.
-- Jonathan (Denver)
A: Jonathan: As good as Long is -- and I'm partial to Michigan men -- I think Clady is the best young left tackle in football. You just don't see people with his feet and strength. Denver got real lucky when Clady slid to its spot at No. 11. Were Clady in the draft today, he'd be a top-three pick and it wouldn't be surprising to see him go No. 1 overall.

Although this is a no-brainer to us here at MHR, it is nice to see Schefter's astute observations displayed for all the world to see. I remember being thrilled to get Clady at that spot thinking he would team with Cutler for a decade of dominance. Well, one half of that equation will come to fruition... We really did hit a grand slam with Clady, and I agree, he would be #1 if that draft were to happen today.
Go Broncos!

I remember certain fans being disappointed by the pick at the time.....
LT is one of the most important members of your team. After Lepsis retired, we had a glaring need at the position and filled it. Despite this, many fans complained about the pick.

One thing I don't agree with
The dude from Denver who asked the question
Both guys seem to have played key roles in turning around abysmal teams.
When was Denver abysmal? Clady played on the most dominant Oline in the NFL…the only thing abysmal about the Broncos was their D.
