Thanks Doug...
Stoked again to see most picking against the Broncos.
U have to laugh…everyone picking Baltimore in a :must win> win for them at home…..no way that Denver can defeat the Chargers…sorry….the Ravens at their home in a must win, is there????

I thought they were all 'must' wins until you win the div title and top seed.

And if that happens on the last regular season game...
…then the “must wins” continue to the Super Bowl!

Orton's deal - Kirwin artcle
6 years and so much guaranteed money is a bit scary but Orton just doesn’t strike me as a one year wonder. If the Fixer is happy with this years performance, then my guess is that that is exactly what he’ll get for the next 6 years. Money well spent.

Thanks NY, er Doug - I just can't get used to this
I’m a little bothered by the NFL’s stance regarding head injuries. They need to be taking the bull by the proverbial horns here and that goes way beyond simple denial. Agreed on being the underdog again – I really like it that way!
Go Broncs!

Donk I couldn't agree more
I mean injuries in football are going to happen. But, the long term effect of head injuries can be life altering and needs to be addressed in the here and now.

Thanks for all the posts Doug,
Mike Preston probably hasn’t watch a Broncos game this year, otherwise he would have used some other term than soft.

Thanks for everything Doug,
Doesn’t it seem as if the NFL will continue to deny brain injuries from football until they have enough stop gaps in place to protect theirselves. Then magically a few years from now the NFL will release a presser stating how they discovering this dementia problem with former players and how wonderful the NFL is for putting in all of these rules to protect the players before they knew the problem even existed.
I love the NFL, but sometimes it makes me wonder how they can pretend to be so blind. This quote says it best from the NYT article.
"And it sort of reminds me of the tobacco companies pre-’90s when they kept saying, ‘Oh, there’s no link between smoking and damage to your health.’ "

$29.6 million in dead money.
Awesome job McDaniels and Xanders. This just shows you that you don’t need to sign players to big contracts like the Redskins did. How much did those pickups do? You got to be smart with your money and the Broncos are finally doing that. Now we have so much extra money that we can grab a player if we need one or sign some fo our players to future contracts so they can stay here.
Good job Bronco management!

Thanks NYC - Travis Henry is a good reminder of why Shanny sucked as GM
Wow… $29.6 million in dead money. Yikes!
Most of the Broncos’ dead money is allocated to players who essentially are dead to the NFL — 11 of the 16 most expensive players on their “dead money” payroll are no longer in the league. And some people claim McDaniels inherited more talent than did the first-year coaches in Kansas City, Detroit, St. Louis, Cleveland and Tampa Bay?

Yuck
Goodell’s testimony to Congress was gross. No connections, refusing to answer the question, give me a break. One is truly reminded of the tobacco industry refusing to acknowledge that smoking is bad for your health.
As a fan of the game, it hurts to know that these athletes that we cheer for are literally killing themselves for our entertainment.
The NFL’s refusal to acknowledge this serious problem, and that it continues to cast aspersions on the study really sucks.

I had to laugh at that video
The guy calling the Broncos “soft”. Actually, I had to laugh at one of the comments.
Bronco fans. Don’t take Mike seriously. Think of that Woody guy you have in Denver. He writes to create controversy.
Thought everyone would appreciate that.

Dead Money
It doesn’t count against next years cap does it? I don’t think it does. If it doesn’t then our chances of signing all of the 06 class goes up A LOT.
