our toughest opponent is behind us, the patriots. after we won that game I felt like we COULD potentially beat anybody else.

My prediction is 13-3 with a Super Bowl
I’d rather win the Whole Thing that go undefeated. Unless you mean undefeated through the regular season AND the postseason.

It probably is for B. Williamson after his preseason predictions.

Guru, this is totally and utterly hilarious
The same cavemen who were picking Denver for 4 or 5 wins, can suddenly shift in the wind equally as fast and now start talking like this in a matter of 6 weeks.
Honestly, this is the kind of crap that you write when you don’t have a good lead or you can’t find anything to write about that day or you simply are too lazy to look for a good story.
Williamson, here are a few angles, buddy, perhaps you can try one of these:
1) Talk about Denver’s new set of linebackers
2) A story about Dumvervil’s sack pursuit is more interesting
3) Perhaps a little insight into the 5-2
4) How about Buckhalter’s new found home and the 2 headed monster RB in Denver?
5) Anything more interesting that this stuff

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

If you mentioned the 5-2 to WIlliamson....
you’d probably see the screensaver kick in as his eyes glazed over trying to figure out if you are talking about Darren Sproles’ height or if you switched to talking the World Series.
Phyllis? Phyllis? Are you there? I can't hear you anymore.

I gotta chime in on this one!
My single biggest fear if we make it through the next two weeks still unbeaten is that the UNDEFEATED talk will start. I don’t think we’ve earned it yet. But were getting close. You know the players won’t say it so I guess we might as well. As much as I have been afraid of saying it, I have been thinking it for a few weeks now!!!
The Biggest Hurdles….
@ BAL
PITT
NYG ( not as daunting as they were )
@ KC ( I know you laugh, but we always struggle here)
@ INDY (the Biggest Game left on the schedule after the next two weeks)
@ Philly (again not as big a challenge as I might have thought early on, plus B Dawk Reunion)
We Win all of these we go undefeated!
By the way can i just add in… How much I freaking LOVE talking about this as opposed to: if we could only beat XXX or we only need to win 3 more games to catch SD.
GO BRONCOS!!

GOTTA AMEND MYSELF SO I DONT LOOK LIKE A TOTAL DOOFUS....
just ready my post and it sucks!!! the schedule part fine, but to be clear the reality of going undefeated is NIL, but it is there to chat about. Outside of that posting it up and calling it an ESPN Blog article is pathetic, which is clearly why I don’t work for ESPN.
Sorry for the crap post, I’ll bring it better next time!! :):)

holy cow, that is poorly written
A big difference between the 07 Pats and the 09 Broncos is their schedules. The Pats had very weak opponents on the way to 16-0, while Denver will have played nearly all of the best teams in football (assuming the Saints meet them in the Super Bowl).

It's fun to speculate anyway
It was only a couple weeks ago that I allowed myself to think… big game. I still won’t type it, but my fingers are getting itchy.
Phyllis? Phyllis? Are you there? I can't hear you anymore.

No
I don’t see McDaniels taking us to 16-0. When we get to game 14 or 15, we will probably rest some players. No need for Dawkins or Doom or Champ or whoever to get hurt.
Still, why is he writing an article like this now? It’s 7 weeks into the season. There is more than 50% of the season left. Who cares if we go 16-0 anyways? I’d rather go 9-7 and end the season with a superbowl win than go 18-1 for the season.
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.

Exactly, look at '07 Patriots
That 16-0 regular season was all for not after losing to the Giants.
Articles like this come out when only one undefeated team remains.

It looks like all the ESPN Bloggers
are writing these articles for all undefeated and winless teams

Slow news day
I guess now that someone has mentioned it the answer is definitely no.

I just hope they go undefeated this Sunday.
Fun to think about, but my heart can’t take more than one week at a time.
Don't argue with fools. It's how they reproduce.

Well...
… I get no reason to believe they won’t go undefeated, and again no expectation from the beginning of the year that they will.
I see us in a win-win situation. Lets not ruin it. When we lose we lose, but until then we are undefeated. I would not be down if we don’t go undefeated. I am perfectly happy with where we are right now, cause we have already exceeded my expectation (8-8 doable when we had no idea about McD and the team) and now I am on my bonus time, and loving every single damn second of it :)

Undefeated is silly talk
What actually deserves to be talked about is home field advantage. What sort of a record do you think it will take? I’ll assume we’re competing with the Colts here, though the Steelers could come into play too. We already have tiebreakers over NE and Cin, plus 1.5 games on them. We control our destiny, as we play the Colts in December.
Will it take 15-1 with a win over the Colts? They don’t have that bad of a schedule, at Baltimore and Houston, and then home for us, NE, Hou, and the Jets. There are only two teams that I think have a good chance of beating them, us and NE, and they get both at home. Personally, I think Houston has an outside chance, as they face them twice. I don’t think there’s anyway they end up worse than 13-3 at this point, with 14-2 looking more likely.
On the other hand we have the Steelers. If they can beat us, they could run the table with the rest of their schedule, I don’t think 14-2 is out of the question. Difficult certainly, but not unreasonable. Fortunately, we get them at home, and if we beat them I don’t see us doing any worse than 13-3.

As of this writing...
…the Nuggets have won two games and lost none.
“Will they go undefeated?”
It’s no more ridiculous in that context than it is in the case of the Broncos. One game at a time, folks, one game at a time…
Thanks for another fantastic season...here's to Rocktober 2010!
