Hamilton is a bigger loss than Smith because Jack MF Williams is a much better sub than Hochstein.
I hope we get to see some more of Seth Olsen since he is Hamilton’s future replacement anyway.
Love the Broncos. Mike Nolan is a genius.

Maybe
but if we do have to sub for an O-lineman I think we lose the least subbing for Hamilton.

Legwold's Article
I really enjoyed Legwold’s article in the Denver Post today. A very nice primer on tackling.

Beat Writers
The Scott Ostler article regarding the faiders piqued my imagination. He said, essentially, that the faiders historically try to control the media. We have all been angry at the media for their reporting about the Broncos this year. My biggest gripe is that they manufactured stories out of thin air and presented snide opinions. But are the Broncos or us fans trying to control the media?
I have no problem with beat writers expressing negative opinions provided they back up their opinions with facts. I believe that local beat writers should also have a sense of loyal fandom when they write. “Loyal fandom” does not mean blindness to weaknesses in the team. That is why, in part, I liked Legwold’s article today. He presented color with team interviews, education about the nature of tackling, and an opinion. Isn’t that exactly what we have come to expect from MHR?

Nice article by Legwold on tackling
Jeff is usually a very good writer and I’m glad that they brought him on. There was only one mis-statement: he mentioned that while the Broncos only had 3 missed tackles last week, last season they would have three in a quarter. That’s an exaggeration —
They used to have three on a single play. Thank McDaniels for Nolan and for angle drills. What a difference!

Thanks nyc.
I’m impressed with the whole change in the coaching corp. Miles and miles of difference between this group and last years bunch. Incredible.

Axe Commercial
That Axe commercial is irritating me. Axe is supposedly an aphrodisiac man’s cologne and the picture looks like two girls playing nipple games.

CBS4 News
They run the Broncos games here in Denver, have the post-game shows, coaches’ show, etc. Vic Lombardi and Gary Miller are their primary sportscasters.
Here’s a good article on their website:

Tackling
LOVE to see the improved tackling this year, and it absolutely deserves the positive attention. I watched Georgia lose to LSU today. I would say that poor tackling lost that game, and spoiled an otherwise darn good performance.
