Doom was a Derrick Thomas fan growing up; I hope that doesn't mean he was a Chefs fan... More importantly, Elvis' family is Haitian and he speaks Creole; there's an interesting bit I wish I'd known long ago - certainly explains his name.

Lombardi thinks the Broncos' WRs can overmatch the Cowboys' CBs. He thinks the Broncos' formation shifts and personnel substitutions will confuse Dallas; he says of McD and Co., "Denver is one of the best new game-plan teams. Each week, they attack the weakness of their opponents very well."

Interesting. Charles Robinson actually picked the Broncos just a few days after saying they're overrated. Perhaps he was swayed by some Denver fans furiously typing out nasty emails to him this week...

I honestly think it would make the broncos good.
I’m not just saying that because I think the broncos are already good. Many in the MSM are coming around already. I think that a win today would solidify the broncos into at least a “good” category with the MSM and other fans. Among the MHR ranks, I can say confidently that a majority of people think the broncos are already good and have been good for a while now.
Thanks for the Tracks, too, by the way.

to answer the question
A broncos win today would mean that the refs made a bad call in the second quarter which swayed the momentum. And thus the broncos are 4-0 but they are lucky and the flukiest 4-0 in Nfl history…lol
HILLIS
thats basically what they'll say
they just refuse to give us credit. they’ll just say oh the cowboys weren’t contenders all along and we just beat a mediocre team. and when we’re 19-0 they’ll still just say we’re the flukiest 19-0 in history…
ha i was just watching the opening for fox nfl sunday
and they were showing highlights for all the 3-0 teams and….left us out…how unsurprising
The Broncos won't get credit
if they win. The story will be the disarray of the Cowboys.
One exception might be from Skip Bayless, who has anointed the Cowboys a top-5 team and can’t believe they’re ~17 in most Power Rankings. So if/when they lose to the Broncos, he’ll suddenly get on board with the Broncos being an elite team in the AFC. But he’s a moron, so take it with a bucket of salt.
The real question is...
Would Tony Romo continue to be dreamy or would he merely be overrated?
It's funny...
…how close Romo was to being a Bronco. Who knows what would have changed in terms of his career arch, but he’s at least a better human being than Cutler, so I’m willing to bet Shanahan would still be here if Romo was in Denver. Though I doubt the team would have been that much better over the last couple years. But Romo mistakes are magnified in Big D.. he’s undeniably an above-average QB.
I often wonder that same thing myself...
However, I’d say Romo is far beyond an above-avg QB. Obviously he’s yet to win a playoff game, which is a big demerit, but the guy is 29-13 with a 94.2 career QB rating. Those are excellent numbers.

Anybody else watch...
…the Fantasy Outlook with Matt Berry and Merril Hoge? Berry advocating sitting Romo against a stubborn Broncos D and Hoge interrupts him “Bleh, hate that pick, Romo’s going to explode today.”
I bring this up because Hoge is a dumbass, and I still can’t quite figure out why they need him dampening Berry’s otherwise astute fantasy point of view.
Hoge argued with Berry over benching Cutler in week 1, as well. He doesn’t know anything about fantasy football, he just has man crushes and goes with them. Wish he was in my fantasy league.
Great headline, nyc
Best of luck with your Broncos/MHR open house today!. Another vast compilation of interesting links – you’ve elevated this to n art form. While many others have chosen the same basic approach, Horse Tracks puts them all to shame.
Go Broncos!
