Around SBN: Penn State Recruiting Roundup Is Set For A Big Junior Day

Penalties almost killed us today, and they WILL kill us next week.

Taken from Pats Pulpit: A writer by the name of Mrs. Brady wrote this, and I can't help but agree with every single word of it. Look forward to a lot of roughing the passer calls next week, because Brady's the golden boy and can't be touched.

Star-divide

Anyone who saw the embarrassment that was the roughing-the-passer call on Brady, in which he was grazed across the ankle - and didn't even go down - while pleading to the ref for a flag, witnessed a blatant case of preferential treatment.

In a league that normally gets it right - they misfired on this one. They might as well just put up a red-velvet rope around him and a couple of bouncers standing there with folded arms while little Tommy throws his football.

Somewhere along the lines, Brady has turned into a prissy schoolgirl. Even ex-teammate Rodney Harrison agrees - check out the article about it at ProFootballTalk.com. It'd be easier to root for Brady if he'd man-up and play football - if he's scared, maybe he should take up knitting. And before you say "Well! He's 3-1!" - just remember, he beat a BAD Bills team (barely and in NE), snapped a high-heel losing to the Jets, had to pull away late against Atlanta thanks to some questionable, and preferential, calls (and again in NE), and then beat Baltimore today after tearing his skirt to get his way (which he did) on some horrendous calls.

Cutler won with his ability. Manning wins with his brains. Just watch THEIR highlights. Meanwhile, poor little Tommy-Boy lacks both now, so he relies on desperate cries and whines to the refs. Sad, pathetic, and completely laughable. But hey... he's Tom Brady! He'll be great forever! .......right?

No. Because he's already far from it now. And he proved it on Sunday. Ask anyone who saw the game (except the officials)..

Oh, and for those of you who plan on commenting on this post with some sort of snide, self-promoting dig (or more likely a lame excuse for Brady's whining), save your fingers. I only created this profile to give you a one-time opinion on the fact that I - as well as the rest of the league - thinks your QB needs to change his panties. He's clearly crapped himself.

Thanks for reading... and tell your QB to grow some hair on his nuts... unless he's unable to of course. Or he's lacking in that specific anatomical category. After today - I'd guess the latter.

its refreshing to see a non Broncos blog hounded by a troll,

But is this anything more than that?

I think the name is a knock on Brady

But I am sure you already knew that :P

Lady, you want me to answer you if this old airplane is safe to fly? Just how in the world do you think it got to be this old?

I agree with her post

I saw the highlights and Brady was not in any danger and the refs threw the flag.

After seeing the treatment given to the Cowgirls today I do wonder about next Sunday.

Orton benefitted, too

I think that roughing the passer on our drive in 4th quarter (Royal catch play) was less then 100% call. There certainly was a “rusher was carried by his momentum and did not stop in time” element to it. It was a judgment call (could he made an effort to stop once he saw the ball released??) and I think it could’ve gone both ways. The fact that Orton was hit hard resulted in a flag being thrown, but the hard hit it not always illegal. Just a thought.

The roughing call on Orton

was automatic – helmet on helmet contact.
I think the Ravens game plays to our favor. Typically these things swing like a pendulum. The refs will get so much heat for the ridiculous call that they will probably go to the other extreme against us.

And for the record, that was the most “phantom” penalties, on both sides, that I’ve seen in a long time. Some of the calls were judgment, but even the announcers were compelled to comment on the calls.

SlowWhiteGuy,

I never thought about that. I hope you are right, because Elvis is coming after that wimp. Brady will be “All Shook Up” this week.

I was mad at Steve Mariucci on the NFL Network, though, because he said that they had to call those penalties. No, they didn’t. Those penalty calls could be opening the door for some Charles Martin-Jim McMahon action on Tom Brady down the line if it keeps up.

That was funny Cali

The refs are going to call what they’re going to call. As long as there is consistency, that’s all I ask. Human Beings are fallible and Referees are no different. I’m hoping that SlowWhite Guy is correct and there will be compensation to our benefit. After watching some of the Patriots games. So far, I think we can beat NE at home. But it should be a tougher game than the Cowboys.

Question for you guys

When the cowboys kicked the 43 yard field goal they were called for a hold(10 yard penalty that McD declined).I didn’t understand not taking the penalty and moving them back and taking our chances on 3rd down instead of letting them do a 43 yarder uncontested,we might have stopped them or set them back further.Did you guys wonder about that?

by Broncolorado on Oct 5, 2009 11:39 AM MDT reply actions

Romo's 53 yard play on 4th and 3 is the reason why....

Dude’s explosive if you let him be. He makes plays, and if I were the coach, I’d rather risk giving up 3 than risk giving them a shot at another first down or touchdown…Plus from that far out, Nick Folk’s chances are eh…not great, not bad.

TAKE IT!!!
