Walker's Chance?
I, like the rest of you, am really pulling for Buckhalter to be ready Sunday, but that frankly might not be realistic. For a guy who's big play ability has been matched only by his inability to stay healthy - I much rather have him sit this week (and maybe even next week), get the bye, and be 100% for what hopefully could be a meaningful run into December and January.
If that is indeed the case, do any of you expect us to activate Darius Walker? I know a lot of people hate LaMont Jordan (I'm not among you, but certainly see your case) so wouldn't this be the perfect opportunity to give him some touches? I seem to remember him being a beast on the goal line in the preseason - with goal line and short yardage situations being a top offensive concern (at least for me) thus far this season why not give Peyton some competition if only for a week or two?(DISCLAIMER: I'm a huge fan of Peyton and hope he turns it around - maybe he just needs a little pressure.)

I'd cut Brandon Lloyd
I don’t think he’s even been active this season…

I think we’re Ok

Agreed
Moreno, Jordan and Hillis. It concerns me that Hochstein went in for an MRI and hope he is able to continue his multi-headed hydra role as lineman and FB, especially with Hamilton still hobbled. Hopefully Larsen is back this week even though he has not participated in practice. I was not that impressed with Walker in preseason.

Walker will be active...
this season if one of the four backs is seriously hurt, otherwise I don’t see him being activated. I see Walker as insurance, just as I see Brandon Lloyd if the receivers start to get decimated.

I would actually think that Denver may go to a more pass heavy offense this week
Since I think the weakness in the New England defense is in the CB position, I also think (hope and prey) that Hillis gets some more touches this week.

Hillis may well be in McD's doghouse
When a player made Shanny’s doghouse he wasn’t seen for a long time if ever. I hope that Hillis can get out but he has made some major mistakes in all phases of the game. The block in the back last week was very obvious and totally uncalled for. We have a couple RB’s that are playing better and he is not doing that well on special teams. McD appears to prefer multiple TE’s to Hillis at FB. I think he will have to pull himself out on the practice field. I like him also but he has to prove he deserves to be on the field and he is not doing that now.

I disagree. The Pats are weak against the rush this season (they are giving up 4.5 yards per carry) and snow is in the forecast.
Without Mayo and an injured Wolfork, we should run it down their throats.
Love the Broncos. Mike Nolan is a genius.

yup.
I agree completely. You kill virtually 4 birds with one stone at that point.
1) You’re playing against their weakness
2) You’re keeping the defense off the field
3) Consuming Time (best way to beat Brady is to not let him on the field)
4) You’re avoiding the risks of bad throws in the snow which is more likely to lead to interceptions.

I’d sign Torain before Walker. I’m on record saying Walker is a waste of a roster spot, even on the PS. He just doesn’t have NFL talent or an NFL future.
But this should be the week for Hillis to wake up from his season long slumber. So I’d go in that direction first.

No disagreement on Hillis, McG
No disagreement on much else, either, but a question – last I heard, Torain still couldn’t go due to injuries. Any updates?

Torain tried out for the Dolphins last week so I bet he is ready to go.

Moreno/Hillis
Same ratio as Buck/Moreno with Lamont getting the 4th quarter “eat up the clock” and goal line time.

I doubt it
He did look alright in preseason, but I feel comfortable with Moreno/Hillis/Jordan for now, and I think Moreno will have a big game, he’s due to break the 100-yard mark and more. Also, like others, I am definitely hoping Hillis can get it together. If he get to where he should be, these two will be dangerous. Jordan will work in the 4th Q to wear down the D at the end of the game, like has also been said.

Buckhalter isn't going on injured reserve so why would there be any cuts?
2 to 3 weeks maybe. Buck will be back and in the mean time Moreno, Hillis and Jordan will be fine.

I love Hillis but...
Moreno is totally awesome and he should get the ball at least 30 times this week to see what he can do. I am on the Hillis bandwagon but Moreno is spectacular and this is his chance to shine. The only thing thing that is hurting Hillis right now is that he is the only FB on the roster right now and once Spencer Larson returns he will be a potent part of the offense. McD is just too smart to injure our only FB. Go Broncos!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hillis
One thing that bodes well for Hillis is the return ofLarson.
