Just some thoughts...
Well, it has happened. Our mighty Broncos have fallen in the Charm City in unremarkable fashion. We now stand at 6-1, with a 2 gm lead in the AFC West. Were to lay blame? Where to point the finger? Nowhere, IMO. We lost to a desperate team with a great balance. The Ravens are better than many may think. Remember, this Ravens team made it to the AFC Championship game last year, with a rookie QB, no less.
I want to raise a few questions for our outstanding members here at MHR.
1.) Can Ben Hamilton be replaced by Russ Hochstein? I understand that I lead off with not laying blame, or pointing fingers, but Hammy's play recently has got to be questioned. Hamilton might as well have been nicknamed Turnstile 50, because on consecutive plays, he was turned inside out. As has been stated throughout our fair website, Hamilton is the weakest link in our O-line, and will draw most of the pass rushers of our upcoming schedule of teams with great pass rushers. I don't think I can sit through 9 games of watching guys stunt, bullrush, and push around Hamilton. Is Hochstein a better fit? I think we may need to find out.
2.) Is Britton Colquitt on another teams Practice Squad? I'm happy Brett Kern has found employment, especially with his newborn child. Hey, at least his team won, right? Anyhow, I agree with just about everyone here in their opinion of Mr. Mitch Berger. He may have been with the Steelers last year, but he cannot be the answer for our punting woes. I am hopeful that our braintrust of McDaniels and co. recognize this, and have another open call for punters on Wednesday, if not sooner.
3.) Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!?! Its November, folks. Turkey Day is right around the corner, and the stretch run is upon us. How many good teams will we see this month? Just one...the next one. Pittsburgh. The defending champs. 2008 Defensive Player of the Year James Harrison. The Hair. And "Big" Ben Roethlisberger, who I told one of my friends kinda reminds me of our #7. Oh, and did I mention that its Monday Night Football? Well, folks, its Monday Night Football. Oh yeah, and its AT HOME!!! Time to put this Ravens game to rest. We have to learn from it, correct what needs to be corrected, and prepare to punch the Steelers in the face. You think our D won't be fired up for this game? Guess again. The Steelers can be had.
Thanks for reading this post, all who have chosen to do so. I'm already over the Ravens, and I would wager that our guys will be better prepared for MNF @ home. Have a great week, everyone, and GO BRONCOS!!!

What's pathetic
Monday Night Football, in Denver, with us having the better record—-we’ll still be underdogs.

Great way to make a lil dough...
If I knew a place to wager, I would take our team. Talk about Christmas money!

I actually think we'll lose to the Steelers
Especially if we play like we did today. So then we’ll be 6-2 and ‘desperate’ and we’ll lay an @ss whoopin’ on the Dolts. I’d be happy to be wrong, but I don’t think we’re Super Bowl worthy yet and Pittsburgh will further emphasize the point.
This is our team, let's have fun with it! - dmitchell624

great perspective.
totally agree.
"I just looked across the huddle to see the guys in the huddle with me: great offensive line, great talent at wide receiver, great tight ends, great running backs. If we execute and play the way that we should, it should be tough to stop us."

Take this loss to the heart
And take all your aggression out on the Steelers next week! You guys are a great, great team. I am very proud to have beaten such an elite and classy franchise. Good luck the rest of the season and keep proving the league wrong! Anything to get Tom Brady’s face off of the screen.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.

I think
that we will beat Pittsburgh. We are going home, and the shoe is on the other foot. We need to play desperate at home, like Baltimore had to. We aren’t in as big of a hole, but we haven’t won anything yet.

We should finish out the AFC North portion of our schedule at 3-1
Pittsburgh has shown that they are vulnerable all season. If our defense plays the way they showed today, Big Ben will fall down like London bridges.

The Ravens played a very physical game today.
They out played us, simple as that. They were faced with going 3-4 and a hard road to the playoffs, especially when 2 other teams in their div are playing very well. We, on the other hand were 6-0 and feeling some swagger. The Broncos didn’t seem focused the this game for some reason that they only know. How they rebound next week will say alot about this team and where they are headed. Hochstein may be a better fit and McDaniels will break down the game as pathetic as it was and make decisions accordingly. Now we are face with losing our RT for awhile and Polumbus will probably be his replacement. Berger is one of the top 5 punters of the last 16 years? What happen today? He seemed like a turtle out there trying to get his rythym. Don’t know what happened there. Changes will definitely have to be made if we are to succeed. Our offense cannot depend on our defense to keep pulling them out of a hole. Too much pressure on the D.
I can’t believe Hillis isn’t being more involved in the offense because for 4 games last year he waas outstanding with making the big plays. Just can’t figure that one out. Maybe he is being slowly intergrated for a reason. Oh yeah, that’s right, he’s going to be our secret weapon when we really need him. LOL.

vs Steelers...
It will be very interesting to see how our offensive line does vs Pitt. Either today was just a really bad day, they were exposed, or a little of both.

I'm sure hoping that Coach locates the problem, and figures out a fix.
I have always been a fan of Hamilton, but he just looked…small…out there. If we are truly going to a power-running attack, I would really like to see bigger, road-grating bulldozers between our Twin Ryan Towers. Hochstein seems to be built like that, and Olsen is pretty hefty.
Other than that, Pittsburgh really doesn’t have anyone that scares me. The Ravens got Ngata, Gregg, and Pryce up front, while the Stealers only got Casey Hampton, Brett Keisel, and Travis Kirschke starting. I see a big drop-off in front 3 talent, which was totally different than what we saw yesterday.
But long-term, I think its time we beefed up our interior O-line. I just hope we have the guys on our roster already.

I concur
Russ is worth a shot. Ben was simply destroyed today.

Colquitt is currently a Free Agent
I think that the Steelers are very similar to the Ravens. Compare these: Polamalu and Reed, Lewis and Harrison, Flacco and Rothlisberger. Both also have emotionally charged defenses, and can run the ball. Josh and the Broncos have some work to do this week.

They need a better showing...
Ravens and Steelers are both solid, physical, playoff football teams. The Broncos really need to step it up and prove they can compete with the Steelers this week or it’ll be a pretty clear indication that they’re not ready to go anywhere in the playoffs.
The Bronco D is playoff caliber. The Bronco O seems “soft” …

2 of 3
Ray Lewis and James Harrison is a bad comparison. They are two totally different players. If anyone can be compared to Lewis, I would say James Farrior. James Harrison brings a different dynamic when it comes to pass and rush protection than anyone did for the Ravens, save for maybe Jarret Johnson, who smoked KO on the first snap.
Other than that, I still believe that we are in a better position to beat the Stealers (I was rooting for Seattle in SB 40) just because we have seen what we need to fix on O. And the Pittsburgh O-line can’t be compared to the Ravens O-line, and you saw what we did to that line. Our defense might just win this MNF game for us.
