Highlight of the Game
The number one highlight of the game that I saw, or heard, was between commercial breaks. As the music cued, I heard a familiar guitar line, but thought it impossible this song was being played. I looked it up on iTunes, listened intently, and was amazed that I was right! Underoath was being played during an NFL Broadcast! Surely, this is the smartest thing they have done in a very long time, and was the most entertaining highlight of a most disappointing loss.

Eek.
I hate to disagree with fellow fans, but these guys are terrible. How can this screaming crap possibly be construed as music?
I would have to call this a low-light of the game, and will be seriously saddened and depressed if we are subjected to any more of this noise.

to each their own.
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.

if you dislike the band and music, fine
but I would ask you not to call it crap. while yes, Underoath is known for their harsh vocals, it is the layering effect of guitars, synth sounds and the amazing talent of Aaron Gillespie on both clean vocals and drums that make Underoath as good as hey are. I find it insulting to say that the music is just “crap”.
I found the introduction of a less mainstream band and song in between segments a fresh breath from the normal synth pop and rap that seems to perpetually permeate the airwaves these days. give me spencen chamberleign’s low growl over lady gaga’s autotuned computer work anyday.
i was merely highlighting and applauding the network for deviating from the talentless drudge that passes as music these days, who chose to highlight actual musicians who work hard at their craft over the garageband sound that is all too popular these days.
please, the next time you choose to criticize a band, think before you go and label it “screaming crap”. it simply comes off as ignorant.

I hear what you’re saying and all… but the screaming comes off as more ignorant than my comment. Sorry.
I agree with you on the mainstream rap and pop that is played on most of the networks, no bueno. If I have to hear Lady Gaga or Miley Cyrus act like they have talent one more time I might gouge my eyes out (ears might be a more effective remedy). I listen to a lot of music in all different genres, I listen to QOTSA, System of a Down, a lot of stuff that gets pretty heavy… But I just fail to see how this thrash screaming nonsense can be enjoyed by anyone, like, ever…

it's an acquired taste really...
it calls into appreciating the musicianship and flow as well as the actual lyrics. i guess in theory, if you try really hard to understand the lyrics, they’ll make more sense, and you’ll appreciate them more.
to ask how anyone can enjoy it, ever, i enjoy it every single day :)
haha, personally, I’m a music major right now and have grown up with music. I have more of an appreciation for what “thrash screaming” does instrumentally and lyrically than any other genre. listen to as i lay dying’s guitar riffs and tell me it you aren’t impressed.
in any respect, this isn’t a music board, it’s a broncos board! and I gotta say, this stuff can definitely get you pumped up for a game.
