Can we cut Mitch Berger already, please?

The guy is an absolute joke. He is the worst punter I've ever seen on a football field and he's killing us. His motion is painfully slow. It's a miracle he hasn't had a punt blocked yet. I can't believe he hasn't been replaced yet. He gets no distance and hasn't been particularly good at directional kicks either. It's ridiculous. Does anybody disagree? Is there even room to argue here?

I’m a little amazed that while Kern supposedly beat out Colquitt during the preseason, it couldn’t have been by much – why not bring him back? I’m wondering if he somehow burned some bridges on his way out.

It can be hard to admit to a mistake

So I can see Josh giving this guy another game or two before pulling the plug. Hopefully a Colquitt or somebody will still be available at that time.

I agree, though, that it’s been scary watching this guy punt. I know he won a SB last year, and in all honesty I didn’t notice him or his punts in the big game. Which, to an extent, is good, that means he’s doing his job. This year, I am noticing his punts and that’s bad. 24 yards? You might as well go for it on fourth down, no matter the distance, if that’s what your going to get.

Yeah, Berger

needs to be cut. McDaniels must not have liked Colquitt for some reason or he would have signed him instead of Berger when he cut Kern but hopefully he will reconsider and bring back Colquitt. QB and Punter and 2 definite needs in the 2010 draft for the Broncos.
