Cutler throws 5 picks!
For all of you doubting Kyle Orton,
Did you see that our ex-quarterback threw 5 picks against the 49ers last night, including one in the red zone with eight seconds left of a four point game? After Monday night, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Cutler and his big arm lose the game after his defense kept him in it. No doubt about it, Kyle Orton would have won that game for the Bears if he was their quarterback.
Thanks again Jay for securing us a high 1st round draft next year. I hope it turns into a stud DL or OL lineman that your team really needs.
All I can say is go Broncos and go Kyle on Sunday against the Redskins. Let's get back on track and go 7-2!

mmmm . . . kbuk?
6-3 would mean we lost to Washington.
Don’t you mean go 7-2?
And like you, I cannot be broken hearted at the 0 TDs and 5 Ints.

Loving it!!
Ya gotta wonder if Cutler has some doubts about his childish behavior and it’s consequences.

JC
The money he’s getting paid helps soften the blows of these mounting losses, I’m sure.

I can't lie...
We were cheering pretty loud after that last pick. I have never rooted so hard against someone in my life. I kind of feel bad for the guy, but then I remember he is the jerk who thinks I am a 6 compared to Bears fans. 14 tds, and 17 ints. How could McD pass on that? lol.

i'm glad cutler is gone, but
if you were at the MNF game…. you would see that broncos were about a 6 that night

I dunno the game you're referencing...
but every team has those types of fans. The Bears are no exceptions.

Cutler's interceptions blew it
I am really glad the Broncos got rid of Cutler. I was watching the Bears game, and it looked
like he needed Shanhan’s plays, and Marshall back.
Cutler probably wouldn’t work in the McDaniels system which emphasizes low turn overs.
Orton will probably get us back to the playoffs anyway.

Cutler made Brandon Marshall, he is nothing without Cutler…remember?

Uh, 6-3 is not back on track. That’s what we would be if we LOST to the Redskins. What the heck, man?

yeesh
I don’t understand the guy. The whole thing reeks of an attitude of not really caring that last little bit. Drive the team down the field, throw an INT. “Hey, I tried,” he probably shrugs. The dude’s got psychological issues.

This is just weird to look at
307 passing yards and 5 INTs with no TDs. Never thought I would see that.

307 yards! That’s a lot of yards. Makes a lot of fantasy players happy.

not when you get -2 pts/INT and 0 TD's
in a standard espn league he racked up… 2 points. first time i’ve EVER seen a 300 yard game only result in 2 points

I was just listening to Dukes
and he mentioned Cutler’s arm strength is a blessing and a curse. WOW, I think I remember Guru or someone on here mention that. First time I heard a MSM guy say that. Also he said he needs some WRs around him. Gee what did we have here?
Just cracking up when I was hearing this.

He is right on saying that.
It’s just I am surprised that it took 17 INTs for any MSM to say that.

Dukes
The question is, will he ever admit that perhaps, just perhaps, McD knew what he was doing when he was willing to trade away his “franchise QB?”

It goes beyond thinking he has a good arm
It looks like he is addicted to his ability to throw, like a drug addiction ( which I think was nurtured by the coaches during his time in Denver).
Just another guy...on the lost highway.

The Bears are pace for a 6-10 or 7-9 season.
What that means for us is a 8-12 pick in the spring. Wow. Who do we want and who will we pick?

33.7 passer rating
Wow, what a terrible showing for such a “gifted athlete”. What’s weird is the guy throws for such high yardage…307 but threw 5 INTs, two of which were in the red zone. Something about that just really tweaks my thinking. If you all noticed, and I think this was endemic of him last year, Cutler locks in on one receiver. Last night, and probably most of this season, he’s locked in on Greg Olsen. If Chicago would have covered Olsen tighter, I doubt he throws for 307yds. But, if I’m not mistaken, I think both red zone picks were meant to go to Olsen. I know his supporting receiver corp isn’t what he had last year in Marshall, Royal, Sheffler, and Graham, but come on, he’s got to be able to read defenses and pick up the hot route or even read the screen route. He’s not doing that. Then he flippantly takes his helmet off and scratches his head.
I’m so thankful, he’s not pulling that garbage in Denver. I like that Orton can learn from his mistakes and improve his game. We’re going to see some improvement in all phases of the game this weekend.

Running Game
Cutler is impatient when things don’t go his way. The new coach doesn’t bow down to his greatness, whine your way out of town. The running game isn’t working, throw into coverage. Cutler seems to have an overwhelming need for instant gratification.
What I am getting to is that our Oline struggled last year in the run game in the redzone also. Some credit can be given to RB injuries, but I think it still illustrates that our Oline is not getting it done in the trenches in our running game. Forte had what? 41 rushing yards in that game? We had what against the Steelers? 27 total rushing yards? 55 yards against the Ravens.
To me we have one of the top 5 pass protect Olines in the league. Comparatively speaking, Orton does not get sacked very often compared to others. But if defenses are blowing up running plays at or behind the line of scrimmage and covering receivers then it is next to impossible to win games.

Recv'd
I agree with you all. Our O-line is fantastic. For me, we’re seeing business as usual from Cutler. MSM will agree that Orton is most definitely not playing BAU. He’s improving. Although, you might find some naysayers who, after those two losses, will say Orton is slipping. We shall see when Denver is playing into the post-season and Orton has continued his high 60’s completion percentage and Cutler ends the regular season as the QB leading the NFL with the most interceptions. I’m going to make a post after the Redskins game and predict/project Orton’s passer rating will be vs. Jay Cutler’s. I’m not going to do this in efforts to prove or disprove the “who won the battle of the trade” rather to illustrate and contrast the QB’s. Let’s GO BRONCOS!!!!

This is as enjoyable...
As being the victim of a bad break up or watching a loved one be the victim of one. You get dumped by the person who thinks he/she can do better than you, and he or she screws you over completely.
One month later, he or she is realizing how good it was before. The grass is not always greener.
Cutler is not as great as the Bears fans, and even some of us, thought he would be. The Bears are still who we thought they were.
I’ll be sure to ask Cutler about this on my next interview with him at broncosculture.com.

my daughter sent me two text messages
She is a Broncos fan going to school in Boston. She is also less than thrilled with Cutler. She sent these two notes about last night’s game:
“Wow. Leave it to Cutler to throw more INTs in one game than Orton’s thrown all year.”
“Cutler has 17 int; Orton, Romo, Favre and Garrard combined have 17 int.”
"The best defense is a good offense. Or is it the other way around." Wolverine
Pray for the best, prepare for the worst, and know you will come down somewhere between the two.
