Life is Good...
...when you get to wake up in the morning and realize you are not a Raiders fan. Hey, I was depressed as anyone else about the game yesterday, but life is good and Happy Monday to my MHR freinds.
I had to watch the game online yesterday, so I had an okay feed, but it wasn't like watching in HD. A couple of things that made me happy: pass protection, Knowshon running, Orton's deep game, a couple of decent punts, defense played well enough to win the game with a little help from ST and O.
I felt, however, that McD and staff were outcoached. What the hell was that fake punt/ TD play? That thing was so obvious, how did our boys not adjust to cover that? Also, what were they thinking by having Simms launch the deep ball hail-mary style when there was no need for it? Without having those two things happen I believe Denver wins the game. Anyway, I about puked after Simms threw 4 times incomplete on our last chance drive. I've gotta think Orton pulls something off in that situation. Oh well, I know Lebowski's Stats that don't lie analysis will show some ugly this week...
After the game I took my parents, wife and 2-yr old son down to the Town Square Mall here in Vegas. Santa is already set up down there so we took some holiday pictures with him. At this place, Santa isn't just out in the middle of the mall, he has his own house so you get to go in there and visit him and let the kids ease into the situation. You wait in a short line outside then just your family goes inside. They do a great job there. For anyone who visits Vegas I suggest going to Towne Sqare. It's an outdoor mall with all kinds of great stores, restaurants and activities- a good place if you have kids.
After Santa, Grandma and Grandpa wanted to spoil my son some more, they decided we all needed to go down to Caesar's forum shops and take my son to FAO Schwartz toy store- home of the huge Trojan horse. If you haven't been there, it is the place to take your kids- 3 floors of toys. Even adults will find something fun there. All the old toys from your childhood can be found there. There was an awesome set of lincoln logs I wanted to take home!

So we salvaged our day after the game was over. At least it was a morning game. We've got to have some faith in McD to right the ship. At least we're in a postion to play for sole posession of 1st place on Sunday, and we are lucky enough that we don't have to wait long for the next game either. We get 2 games within the next 10 days. Here's to hoping our boys get it together. Life is good!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!

Orton
My goodness, the beginning of the game yesterday was just magnificent. Those long balls were something of beauty. If not just barley missing Eddie we would’ve had 3 in the first half. Running game totally clicking I was so stoked. Then came the play. Kyle, please get well soon, I know your a tough son of a b you came back from a high ankle sprain last year in like 1 week. Cant share your sentiment for the defense however, 173 yds to the steelers is one thing but 174 to the redskins is troubling. Have to get that fixed. Thanks for the info on townsquare though I live here in Vegas and will definintley be taking the kids. GO BRONCOS!!
