Momentum: The Potential for Potential
The Rider blinks his eyes, and tries to reopen them without the blur of moisture that is ever-present when he moves at this speed. The flats are brisk today and reflection of the sun off in the distant dry lake bed is blinding. This, with the blurriness on account of the ripping wind under the tightly wrapped goggles, is making vision tenuous for the Rider.
Just as the he grasps a glint of focus he sees in the fast approaching distance an anomoly, a... holy shit!!! A CLEFT in the otherwise smooth surface! At this pace what is he to do? ...There's no stopping, that would be impossible. The Rider again blinks, the possible outcomes are bleak- do -or- die...
He views nothing past the crevice, not that there's nothing there, he just can't see anything but the depths or heights of destiny before his eyes. If he can't launch this thing into the right trajectory, he will DIE. It is that simple, miss the right crack of the throttle at the exact right instant, or the front wheel of his sled will drop ever so slightly and into the destiny that ends with a piling, bloody, thump into the far wall of the gap. However, if he twists the handle and opens the carb in precisely the right dose, the motor will scream to life, lifting the front end up and the momentum will have been secured to clear the obstacle.
What will happen?????
Friends, we are the Rider, the Broncos are the motorcycle and our cheers and sentiments are the fuel that must bring everything into divine right order. The machine has all the necessary parts in place to successfully pull this off. We must pull together the emotions of the fanbase into the defining moment of our team's season. Show up on Sunday and make some damn NOISE. Fuel this team with your cheers, make them proud to put every last drop of effort on the field.
Our team is approaching the edge of its fate in '09. The potential for potential is there. Get a win on Sunday and use that momentum to go to new heights; lose, and the season ends on Janaury 3rd. It really is that simple. Get a win on Sunday and suddenly confidence is restored, the ball is rolling just in time to smack down the G-men at home on Thursday and we are looking at 8-3 and first place. It truly must be a team effort considering all the strikes against us on Sunday. We are likely going to see Simms start. But maybe he can do just enough to get us where we want to be.
Be the Rider,
Go Broncos! TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE IT!!

Walter, you should be giving pep talks! I am glad I read this because I am pumped for tomorrow!!!
"Wait, let me explain something to you...I'm the Dude. So, that's what you call me. You know, that, or 'His Dudeness,' or 'Duder,' or 'El Duderino,' if you're not into the whole brevity thing."
