Question

Where they list the participation of the players, is that during the whole practice time or just the part that the media sees? The MSM has said they haven’t seen Orton on the practice field but that’s only during the first 15 mins where they have access to the fields. Could Orton be practicing after they leave?

That’s not allowed.

These are reports

from the team and not the media, and so they should reflect the whole team practice (or else the team would risk some sort of punishment by the NFL). The levels are defined thusly (from denverbroncos.com):

LimitedPractice (LP) = less than 100% of player’s normal repetitions
Full Practice (FP) = 100% of a player’s normal repetitions
Did Not Practice (DNP)

although I usually read the P as “participation” as do our friends who post this at MHR.

So technically, LP can cover quite a range of situations from only practicing one rep to only leaving a couple minutes early to get treatment.

Orton will do his best to play, and as I have said before I don’t think it is a pain issue, it is a mobility and mechanics issue. Can he continue to throw correctly? Can he avoid getting injured again/further? If these are a “no” in the final walkthrough tomorrow, we won’t see Orton. If he can sufficiently demonstrate a “yes” to these questions, then we will see him.

think his foot fell asleep from lack of use

A truth can only be expressed and enveloped in words if it is one-sided. Everything that is thought and expressed in words is one-sided, only half the truth; it all lacks totality, completeness, unity.

I think so

Which will help fortify the run defense

by CombatChuk on Nov 20, 2009 5:34 PM MST up reply actions

apparently

he wasn’t even listed on this week’s report, and he was questionable last week.

Basically we had to replace McBean with LeKevin Smith, and Smith with Moss when he was out, so I think both run and pass situations suffered. As CC says, should be good.

Jordan is definitely out?

So with him out and Buck with a bad knee, does this mean we might FINALLY get to see Hillis at RB? He’s the secret weapon and McD hasn’t even been using him….

I’m thrilled we didn’t make Orton practice. That looked like a pretty bad sprained ankle and as someone that has suffered from those before, I can say that the best medicine is rest and the worst thing you can do is put pressure on the ankle before it has healed sufficiently.

Orton would be crazy to practice this week. 7 days may be enough time to heal (and maybe not), but I’m happy we didn’t make him practice on an ankle that needs all the rest it can get. Hope to see him on Sunday and if not, next Thursday.

This is my favorite website.

I agree

I hope that Simms is ready to go if he plays. He looked better although not great in the preseason. I hope Orton can play but not if he can’t perform ar a decent level and definitely not hurt it worse.

Me too.

Don’t make the injury worse than it already is. I mean if he doesn’t play Sunday and Thanksgiving (assuming here….just a thought) then he will have three weeks of rest for the next game, which is @ KC.

The Chargers O-line is pretty beat up, no Jamal Williams and they may also be missing their new starting NT.

Denver is not the only team in this game that is suffering from injuries.

Nwagbuo is no longer the starting NT. That’s Ian Scott’s job. Nwagbuo has been questionable for a few weeks now and has played each game.

The Chargers O-line is actually quite healthy compared to earlier in the season.

Hardwick has been out since Week 1, and his replacement (Scott Mruczkowski) has gotten better each week. He’s definitely a capable starter at this point. I’m about 90% sure that Clary will play.

Why is it so certain that Clary will play?

His ankle sounded pretty bad a few days ago. He’s listed as questionable, but of course could still play. I wouldn’t be thinking 90% though.

Yeah really.

I haven’t heard a live show is awhile. He has done postgame shows, but nothing during the week. Probably busy or something…..or bummed like the rest of us with the way things are going.
