Tired of waiting for next year

Jumped out to 6-0, looked like McD could do no wrong.  In two weeks we will be 6-6 and nearly eliminated from the playoffs.  There is far too much wrong with the team to believe we have a chance in 4 days.  I cannot see our offense keeping up with Indy, or our D doing much to slow Manning down.  A losing streak is one thing.  But we have really been blown out, looked like amatures.  Anyone have any great ideas?  I am beginning to lose faith in McD.  I am by no means a fair weather fan, but this is entirely too frustrating.

It's his first year.

It’s not like he looks like Mangini. People’s expectations skyrocketed at the 6-0 start and now everyone wants to jump ship. I think people need to start being a bit more realistic and let him have some time to mold the team.

That rug really tied the room together...

Agreed, rec'd

It’s amazing how many people live week to week with what’s terrible and what’s great. In preseason it was all about Orton’s interceptions, “play Sims, plan Tom B”. and then quiet till Kyle had an off game and “give sims a chance” …now back to Orton is the QB.

If you trust McDaniels has a plan then why the uproars? He didn’t waiver in his commitment to Kyle, should he waiver in his defense of why he thinks Berger is better help to our ST cover guys? Through his first 10 games as a HC I think he’s done a great job, probably learned a lot and will outcoach opponents more often as he grows as a HC.

Give the guy a full season. BB wasn’t great even his first year in NE.

i think what the team is missing

is an identity. we haven’t really established who we are on offense. knowshown was averaging 8 yards an attempt but we’ve been turning the ball over ALOT. something tells me that if we eliminated to turnovers and penalties that well be in a lot better shape. till then we’ll probably continue to fall apart late in games.

"Pleased? We are excited about the proposition of going forward from where we are right now. Pleased? I don't know if you want to say pleased. You may want to hang your hat on pleased. I don't want to hang my hat on nothing right now."

-Brian Dawkins, on the play of the defense

Once he gets his hands on you, there's not much you're going to do. Then you can't outrun him, you can't run around him, you can't really run him over -- so you've just got to deal with it."

McDaniels is not Belichick

I think a lot of us had the illusion that McDaniels is Bill Belichick. McDaniels has done a fairly good job trying to turn the Broncos around. However, after four straight losses your really have to wonder if the Broncos will turn things around with a win, and get back in the playoff hunt.

McDaniels was an Offensive Coordinator who won superbowls with Tom Brady, and Belichick. In reality this is McDaniels first job as a head coah. The offside kick was also
another example of a play that a lot of more experienced coaches would not have done.

Another shocking game was the Steelers losing to KC. The Broncos need to try to be more competitive in their next few games, and try to stop all the turnovers.

You can't have it both ways flunkie.

We weren’t supposed to win more than 3 or 4 games and what happened? 6-4 with a wild card shot at the moment is way more than anyone expected. McD and company had some very serious choices to make seeing we play 2 games in 5 days. The Giants are in the same boat as we are except they have to travel to Denver in 3 days after a very hard fought win against the Falcons. Don’t count us out yet and I believe there is a reason why we lost today (even if most can’t understand why Orton was left in being down 3 scores) and why Ayers was inactive today. Think about it folks. We are not out of this thing yet, and we sure as heck ain’t dead. It took 11 weeks to get to a point where we aren’t 13-3 anymore, wow. Go figure all you fair weather fans. I trust this team either way, seeing we are in a building mode, but still. anything can happen in the NFL just ask the raidas and KC.

Been a die hard fan since 77

Seen good teams, seen bad teams. This team in week 1 -6 was one of the best 2 or 3 broncos teams I had seen. In the last 4 weeks they have played football that a Faiders fan would be ashamed of. The point of the post is the Frustration! How long ago was it the Elway and TD elevated the Broncos to the highest tiers of the NFL? Since then we have had exactly one good playoff performance …… total FRUSTRATION!

Tired of waiting?

Do you eat 3-minute eggs after 2 minutes? The man has coached 10 games. The team that ended 2008 was a 6-10 caliber team with absolutely no defense at all.

If you want to see what would have happened without a coaching change, look at the Bears. 4-6 with a QB in melt-down.
