Don't Be Discouraged

Ignore what the mainstream media is going to say. They're going to second guess McDaniel's call to kick the onside kick. It doesn't really matter in the larger picture. This was a game that was doomed from the beginning with the Simm's fumble and then the Moreno fumble. The sky is not going to fall because the Broncos lost. Do not let it ruin your week or the rest of the day. The Broncos will be fine. Remember, they play on Thursday.

Star-divide

This is the first year of McDaniels coaching career. We were not going to go 16-0 and we were not going to lose every game. The MSM has never been kind to Denver so ignore what they say about the Broncos this week. The people here at MHR are going to be able to give you a valuable look into the game without the negative blasting of the MSM. Let them kiss San Diego's feet. Come January, we all know that some phantom injury or a blown call will ruin it and they'll cry when Indy or NE or Cincy dances in celebration. If you had told me we'd be 2 games above .500 after 10 weeks, I would have been extrememly excited.

We are the better fans. Do not resort to name calling amongst each other or with rival fans. It is what it is. The Broncos were bound to come back to earth. There will be struggles with the lack of young talent on the defensive side and the offense's inefficiencies. Stay positive Bronco Nation. And remember, if all else fails, THERE IS TURKEY DAY!!!

GO BRONCOS!!!

Eh...

this team got exposed today and is completely dunzo. There are major problems on all sides of the ball… offense, defense, and special teams

The fact that we were able to go 6-0 makes it much more harder to stomach

I doubt we were exposed

the turnovers in the redzone made a big deference. The concern over the last couple of games for the offense was the line play, running game, turnovers, and I guess the “big play” (I’ll call it execution). This game we ran all over sd and when orton came in the offense took off. But, the turnover problem has not been solved. I think we were minus 3 again. On defense I’m concerned about the four man pass rush and wearing down as the game goes on. The last four games they’ve held the other teams rushing attack in check for about three and a half quarters but after that we’ve just been dominated. We need to finish games. Ironically, this all started when we moved our focus to starting games faster.

"Pleased? We are excited about the proposition of going forward from where we are right now. Pleased? I don't know if you want to say pleased. You may want to hang your hat on pleased. I don't want to hang my hat on nothing right now."

-Brian Dawkins, on the play of the defense

Once he gets his hands on you, there's not much you're going to do. Then you can't outrun him, you can't run around him, you can't really run him over -- so you've just got to deal with it."

The way Indy, New Orleans, Minnesota are playing

Even at our best, during the fast start, I don’t think we were in their league.

Expectations are a funny thing. The more you win, the more you expect to win. That fast start may not have been good for the team in the long run.

I think they need to hunker down and get back to basics. At the start of the year we said it would be a multi-year process to get competitive. I think we were getting ahead of ourselves.

Now. I’m just hoping for some positive play for the rest of the way, and developing our rookies and sophs into quality players for the longterm.
