Another Meltdown against San Diego
Broncos self destruct again in a 32-3 route, which takes them out of the lead in the AFC west.
The turning point in this game was the fumble by Moreno at the end of the first half, which cost the Broncos a touchdown and a chance to win the game. It looked like Moreno was down on the replay, but Moreno just made another costly rookie fumble.
Chris Simms did not play that well, and his fumble on the opening drive also cost the Broncos another score.
Orton played fairly well given his injury, and he did spark the offense.
The Broncos defense has allowed way too much rushing yardage in the last four losses in a row. LT had 73 yards, Tolbert 58, and Hester 46. If you total the rushing yardage by San Diego it adds up to 203 yards.
Moreno put up 80 yards, and on several plays he looked like Clinton Portis used to. Another problem on defense was the lack of sacks--Rivers was able to sit back in the pocket all day.
McDaniels really needs to get this team going against the Giants. The ironic thing about this Broncos meltdown, is that last years team did almost exactly the same thing, in terms of the fast start, and then losing division games.
The Broncos really need a serious gut check at this point, because the may get eliminated from Wild Card contention if they continue this downward spiral.

the moreno fumble
was knocked out by OUR linemen, he would have scored otherwise. & can you really blame the defense. They defended a short field most of the day. I know they were terrible on a couple possessions but its pretty unreasonable to think that our defense—any defense—can keep an offense like sd from putting together drives.
"Pleased? We are excited about the proposition of going forward from where we are right now. Pleased? I don't know if you want to say pleased. You may want to hang your hat on pleased. I don't want to hang my hat on nothing right now."
-Brian Dawkins, on the play of the defense
Once he gets his hands on you, there's not much you're going to do. Then you can't outrun him, you can't run around him, you can't really run him over -- so you've just got to deal with it."

How about the Marshall - Moreno skirmish?
The wheels have completely fallen off this team.
There is no fight left in them, a 6-0 team turned upside down into a total joke
I'll leave
That up to the leadership we brought in. There is a reason we brought in so many and its time for them to take control of this team. The only concern I have about that is why they haven’t done it already.

Broncos have started fast quite a few season
however it is the second half of the season we need to get better at.
2009 NBA Champions L.A Lakers
2009 NBA Finals MVP Kobe Bryant
Moreno was clearly in the end zone on that play. There were several small plays that could have made the difference in the first half. One being Moss jumping offsides on 3/8 and making it 3/3. Obviously SD might have still converted but if we had held them that would have prevented a touchdown. The other was Wiegman having a false start on 3/5 to make it 3/10, how does a center have a false start? Our mental game has gone to the crapper. After the fumble by Moreno wasn’t overturned that took away any momentum we had. It was foolish of McD to keep in Orton for so long in a game that is completely over there is no point in risking worsening an injury in your starting quarterback when you have 4 days til the next game. I don’t see us beating the Giants and the Chiefs suddenly have some life in them after beating Pittsburgh so it may be a long second half of the season.
Here, I fixed this for you
The turning point in this game was the fumble by Chris Simms
.
It took the heart out of the team until Orton came in. EOS
I'd rather watch a TEAM play than a few stars.

Turning Point??
The real turning point was the kickoff, as we were whipped in every phase of the game for 60 minutes. Sure, we had two drives that resulted in fumbles, but how about the other 55 minutes? SD had the ball 10 times and scored on 7 of them………….. and if they really needed to score more they would have let Rivers put the ball in the air and scored more TDs than FGs. Let’s face it, they’re just better than us and have been for 4 years. The first SD game this year was an upset from emotion and 2 kick return TDs. Rivers loves to come to Denver, where he should be 4-0 if it were not for our Hoculi miracle……
