I know that this is a short week, but this team needs a day off tomorrow. They need to forget about football. They are in one of these bad funks where you need to walk away from it for a day and not try too hard. And on Thursday night, they need to do things that will give them a chance to win and not get in their own way like they did today.

I don’t know why he couldn’t have started the game if he could come in when we were down 13-0 but I think we would have a different game if he was playing from the start. Also, I don’t think the onside kick was a good idea.

I look at it this way:

1. KO was injured and was not suppose to play
2. We wasted the 1st half points, possibly 6-14 pts
3. We lost today to a better team that was on a roll the past few weeks
4. We are not really ready as a team yet

I agree, Simms is looking more and more a bad pick due to him being a left handed QB, and our O-Line strength is opposite of what he needs to be protected.

At this point I am more for Tom to be groomed as a #2 QB, than Simms.

   Lets’ face it – the “Mile High Magic” against SD is gone. Sure, we had won 9 of the last 12 against them at altitude, but………… were it not for the Hoculi call, Rivers would be 4-0 in Denver with several of these being complete thrashings, and were it not for Royal’s 2 TD returns, Rivers would be 8-0 against us. We added a bunch of old guys on “D” (Dawkins, Law, etc.) while SD is starting all young guys in te secondary (except Jammer who is in the middle of his career.) We look done, I wouldn’t even assume wins against Oak and KC – we’re probably looking at 8-8 at the best…………… if McDaniel really told the SD LBs before the game “We own you” then he is a fool……… perhaps there is some truth to the saying ‘with age comes wisdom’

  They said it on TV during the post game report in San Diego – a friend who lives there called me to torment and told me about it.

I honestly think that was a TD… he crossed the plan before he fumbled….. that was a complete mood changer and we never really got it back… :\
