Under pressure

I've enjoyed HillisrunsUover's weekly rant, but haven't seen it yet this week. There is probably too much to rant about. This will be my own little modified version after the jump.

Star-divide

1) I get disgruntled watching over games. Was anyone watching the Texans/Titans game tonight? Did you notice how the quarterbacks weren't pressured EVERY SINGLE PASSING PLAY? There has been something wrong with the offense the entire year (minus a couple drives). It looks disjointed. The last four weeks the line has looked terrible. There is someone in the backfield on every pass play. I watch these other teams and think, "why can't the Broncos look comfortable on offense? Why doesn't it ever look easy?" Can anyone honestly say that they are comfortable that the Broncos will drive down the field? Or does it look more like a struggle to complete even the shortest pass?

2) I'm tired to the lack of pressure from our defense? What's different? We had success blitzing, and now we either aren't doing it, or even worse, we are but we can't get there. The previous success was in limiting the time the opposing QB had in the pocket. That's been sadly lacking.

3) Do you remember Rivers saying after the 1st meeting with the Chargers that this didn't look like the Broncos team that would collapse? Well I guess the Broncos fooled him.

4) I'm sick of Kern being undefeated. Titans win again and are now 4-0 since Kern came to their team. Coincidence or Karma? I say Karma. Kern was the heart and soul of the team. :)

The Weekly Rant is coming...

and thanks for the “shout out” and for taking over in my absense… I am still trying to regain my bearings after adding a “new lil’ Bronco fan” into the family. But after 4 straight losses… I have got a lot to rant about.

I completely agree with your points…. and was thinking the same thing watching the game tonight. I still think the oline is pretty good, but maybe not as good as we had believed at the beginning of the season. I Sure wish that the whole thing would start to sync up soon… we see flashes, and it looks good, but it seems to be a continuous struggle recently.

Here’s to the boy’s getting it together this week, and giving us something to be thankful for this thursday!

"So tell me what happened."
"Well, the last thing I remember is seeing this flash of Blue and Orange and the #22... then everything just went black..."

Whether anyone realizes it, we have played some pretty darn good teams.

Out of the 10 games we played only 3 have losing records and 4 of them are division leaders. This offense played one game against a losing team that is 5th on defense. Our schedule has been very tough. Look at Indy’s schedule and tell me how tough they really are, they’ve had a cake walk so far and a hand here and there but nothing like we have endured.

BTW,

anyone else notice that there may not be many “gimme’s” anymore. Washingtom beat us last week then put a decent performance on the field this week. KC looks like they can occasionally put a whole game together (right Pitt?), and oakland looks to have shown that they haven’t wasted ALL the high picks, most noticably in the trenches (the bengals…. really???). Even the teams with losing records seem to be improving. We haven’t got the depth yet for this kind of physical ball over a whole season. However, I still like the direction we are trying to move….. it just may take some time.

Just show you better bring your A game for 4 quarters.

You just have to do it the old fashioned way…….EARN IT!
