Brett Kern, the difference maker?
The post regarding Ryan Bean from chopperpilot got me thinking last week. Maybe he was the huge difference maker that the team had been lacking. Nope, turns out he wasn't. So who was it then? Who else are we missing? Tonight it hit me when I saw a familiar foot. Brett Kern! When the Broncos released him they were 6-0, the Titans? 0-6. Since then the Titans have won four straight and the Broncos...nevermind. I don't really think Brett Kern is a difference maker, but it's pretty funny. That punter sure knows how to win.

All I saw a Texan running 10 yards before a gunner even got close to him.
There is no Brett Kern curse. Believe me.
Since signing veteran P Mitch Berger on Oct. 26, the Broncos’ net punting average has shown the fourth-most improvement (+3.3 yds. / 34.5 to 37.8) in the NFL.
A truth can only be expressed and enveloped in words if it is one-sided. Everything that is thought and expressed in words is one-sided, only half the truth; it all lacks totality, completeness, unity.
did you get rid of the 65 yard outlier?
Because Montana has no professional sports, I gotta support the land of my birth.
Socrates was once executed for 'trolling'.
^Needs explaining: don't call someone asking uncomfortable, slightly antagonistic questions trolls. In all odds they probably just want to learn. It's real easy to differentiate a 'Socratic' post from a trolling one (unless you're a resident of WCG).
^Needs further explaining: I have yet to post anything on WCG, don't worry, I'm not trying to rationalize anything I've done. I've just lurked over there and man, they are the model of post-peloponnesian war Athens.
You Don't Mess With Good Chemistry
Kern was not a difference maker, but he was not hurting the team to the point it cost them any games. I think it’s dangerous to mess with any team chemistry when you are undefeated.
A player who is struggling can rally around his teammates who are playing well.
Once chemistry is disrupted, it is harder pinpoint which individuals are playing poorly. The finger pointing begins. That’s where we are now, and we’ll have to fight through it.
Kern = Karma
Don’t mess with the karma, we messed with the karma and now we are paying the price.

We changed punter when there were bigger problems
That’s what bothers me with Kern story. Replacing punter was tinkering with such fine and minute details as an undefeated team tuning up for a Superbowl run does. Only we were not really this kind of a team. Under the surface, there were much bigger problems, which went unaddressed for this tinkering.
And guess what – unfortunate as our losing streak is, I’ll take just fine. We have a rookie HC and he has to be less then perfect. He will learn and the team will learn with him.
