ESPN - Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels tells his side of trash-talking incident - Chris Mortensen & Ed Werder
"I wasn't out there trash-talking their players, going through their drills. This guy has been doing this since I've been in the league and, because they won, he takes the liberty of telling his side of the story. I didn't swear at him or threaten him. What I actually said was, 'I've heard the same thing from you for four or five years now, and when I was in New England, we owned you.'"

Shawn Phillips… Just one more reason to hate the Chargers.
This is my favorite website.

The term “San Diego” translates to English as “big mouth, no rings”.
"All we're trying to do is win the *********** game!" -- Josh MF McDaniels tearing into his offensive line after three false starts in the red zone. The tirade turned the tide of the game, and the Broncos dominated from that point on.

discovered by the germans....
"I just looked across the huddle to see the guys in the huddle with me: great offensive line, great talent at wide receiver, great tight ends, great running backs. If we execute and play the way that we should, it should be tough to stop us."

Wait!!! Ron Burgandy claims it translates to "Whale's Vagina".
I’m so confused!

That’s the Latin. ^^

This could be a great "trap" game for KC.
Let Chris Chambers get his revenge, today.

We're on the same side
For one week.
We’re hoping to continue winning and disrupt the division, which is about all you have to look forward to when you’re a three win team like the Chiefs.

Glad McD spoke out
about all the “drama” of his encounter with that dolt from SD and his sideline tirade. That being said, good luck getting this Coach:
“I’m not trying to exacerbate the situation by talking about it but if somebody is going to make a judgment about me, I’d appreciate it if they had all the facts and properly report it.”
the media get all the facts before reporting on a story?! now that’s crazy talk! :)

Way to go Josh!
deflect the media attention from picking on the players. At least now, they aren’t bad-mouthing them.

I love it
Looks like Shaun Phillips and Bill Johnston just handed McDaniels a lifetime of bulletin board material a reason to game plan them like Shanny game planned the Raiders from now on. Thank you gentlemen!
It’s clear to me that the Chargers are very nervous that their days at the top of the AFC West are numbered. Why would they pick fights at the beginning of both games this year? Fear. Or sheer unadulterated arrogance — which I guess is possible, knowing the Bolts. Either way, what comes around goes around.

Interesting sentence
Chargers spokesman Bill Johnston said the team was unaware of the allegation that Phillips charged McDaniels in a confrontational manner.
Of course they didn’t.

more telling to me
was the line that followed it. Not that I expect a division rival to apologize for player behavior, but the phrase “We’re not going to lower ourselves by responding” is absolutely hilarious.
Enjoy that ivied pedestal, huffnpuffs. They’re best team ever — just ask them. : )
Anyway, it’s way past time to move on. We have a division to steal. ^^

That would be quite a task
for the Dolts to lower themselves. I don’t know how they could get much lower . . .

What if they choke in the playoffs again?
Their playoff ineptitude coupled with all their talent would qualify them for getting lower.
I agree, Larsen shouldn’t get any bigger. I am getting tired of his bone crushing hits knocking the pixels off my TV, once they fall to the floor they are very hard to find.

That was really classy of Stokley, by the way
to reach out to Decker after Decker’s injury. As the article said, Stokley didn’t have to do that.
I would say there’s a big difference between Brandon Stokley and Shaun Phillips, wouldn’t you?
