Broncos Agree to Contract with CB Ty Law

If only they had put this unit together at the start of the decade...

In a relatively unexpected move, the Denver Broncos have agreed to a contract with veteran cornerback Ty Law, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Law re-joins the league after stints with the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, and you guessed it:  The New England Patriots.

Pending a physical, Law will join the Broncos tonight and will give the Broncos the NFL's most illustrious defensive backfield along with Champ Bailey and Brian Dawkins.

This sign comes as a bit of a surprise, and no word was given as to whom Law will be replacing on Denver's roster.  Jack Williams has been limited in practice of late with an injury, and Alphonso Smith has also been battling injury this season.

Wow...

I don’t care about their ages – if this plays out, it just got a HELL of a lot more difficult to throw against the Broncos!!

I was hoping the Steelers would sign him when he was a free agent...a few years ago.

As I said in NYC's Horse Tracks

this simply gives Jack Williams and Alphonso Smith more time to recover from the naggin injuries both are suffering from. Takes away the pressure to preform while not 100%.

Plus it’s never a bad idea to add yet another veteran to continue passing on knowledge to all our young secondary players. It seems most of the rest of the league missed the fact that behind our starters our secondary is quite young, not one backup has more than 2 years experience in this league.

Jack Williams will be recuperating elsewhere.

TY LAW

Absoluately great signing, this might be the missing piece to solving the Nickle & Dime package on defense. Great move love it go Broncos!
