John and Friends Predict....Week 9 in the NFL
John and various members of the staff here are once again competing in the annual MHR Pick'em challenge. You will notice the Denver Broncos game is not included. We'll just say everyone roots for the Broncos each week! Guru's wife is a Patriots fan, so her pick will be of the Broncos game. Just so homerism doesn't affect the outcome again this year.

Is it a typo
Or is it part of some gag, that Guru’s wife picked the Broncos in the Miami vs NE match?

Ravens at Cincinnati
Tough call, so I’m not surprised to see a split of opinion. The other interesting game will be Texans at Undee. I took Undee but that was before I realized they had lost 3 starters in the secondary just this week. Still, with Manning at QB, It’s hard to pick against them. Should be lots of points in that one.

I picked against them
Early returns are not good — I also took Baltimore, whose defense on the road, without the big man in the middle, looks pedestrian again. And Flacco looks off, as well.
Still early.
Ted and I are in sync, with the exception that I took Dallas.
Or maybe you could say Zappa and I are in sync
With the exception that I took Houston.
Tomato, tomah-to.
My fantasy team
includes Drew Brees, Randy Moss, Donald Driver, Eddie Royal (maybe this is the week,) Ronnie Brown, Knowshon Moreno, Antonio Gates, 49ers D/ST, and David Akers. If the predictions hold true, I should have a good weekend.

It looks like this week’s picks will be decided after the early games are completed. lol Except, of course, for my sleeper Dallas pick. Chargers don’t have a chance Wife of Guru…sorry. :P

I learned about IND losing 3/4s of their defensive backs to injuries....
…after I put in my picks (arrrggghhhh).
I know Sanders is out for the season, but is the two starting CBs are out for awhile, this team is in big trouble.

Whew!
I got away with that one. HOU misses the FG, and can’t go into overtime.
I’ll take it. Looks like I had a really good week. CIN over BAL, and ARI over CHI. Woo hoo!

I predict
that Zappa and Mrs. Guru will have the top picks this week. Good job last week Ted. :-)

Congrats to Mr. Cutler.
He threw for more yards than all other QBs today, so far.

hahaha, I forgot where I was for a second. Back to the late game thread for me.

I love
How Guru Wife allows the Brocos to win a game they aren’t in…that’s generous from a Pats fan!
But even better is she schooled you all on the SD game (John didn’t you pick SD to win this on MHR radio last week? Wherefor the backtracking?)
