D. Williams Murder Suspect not to face Death Penalty for other murder
Willie Clark and some other accomplices will not face the death penalty for the murder of a witness to a previous drug trial. Not sure how this will affect the D. Williams trial, but it annoys me that the DA is not pressing for as stiff a penalty as he can. Hopefully Clark and his crew go away for a long time and get what they deserve after the Williams trial. I hope the DA will seek the death penalty during the Willie Clark trial. Sorry this is not a fanpost, but I still haven't figured out how to do those and get the links to work.

We all know gang bangers sit in Florence prison
to eat on tax payers money. It’s a sad world we live when it’s OK to sling bullets in someones general area (kill him) for no real threatening reason and get to watch TV and pick up soap in the shower for his celly for the rest of his stinking life.
Very sad and so true.
Hopefully he will piss off the wrong person while he is in there. I am glad he is finally off the street.

Personally, I think life without parole is the harshest penalty
You only have to live in the hell hole that prison is for about a decade on a death penalty. 40-60 years with no hope for freedom sounds alot worse.

By now it's almost 30 years
I just keep hearing news about death penalty defendants whose cases are tried and retried over and over. That’s what we as society do to make sure wrong people are not executed. But when the process takes over 20 years and in some cases closer to 30 years already – and the time lag keeps growing – something is not right with the system.
If Colorado is like CA
getting the death penalty is like serving life. If I am not mistaken CO has 2 people on Death Row and have not executed anyone since capital punishment was reinstated. Too many bleeding hearts in Denver. The only difference between CA and CO is that people here actually got to trail with the death penalty enhancement. Not too many though. I say if its on the table use it, if not abolish it in Colorado

Apparently, slaughtering innocent people earns you a lifetime of watching tv, reading books, and preaching hate on the inside
Nice!
Which is why I’ve already decided that if any a-hole does something horrible to my immediate family I will exact the righteous penalty and spend the rest of MY life watching tv, reading books and blogging from the inside!
America has such a dysfunctional judicial system…then again, what civilization, besides us western civies, ever tried to treat its criminals humanely? lol It is a noble pursuit, but it sure pisses off those of us who have little sympathy for scumbags.
It is my hope that the DA in this case values the life of DWill slightly more than that of some hood who ratted out the gang. Either way, if I were this particular scum bag I’d be counting my lucky stars to have committed these crimes in Colorado and not Saudi Arabia or China!

well . . .
You, as I, live in the western most liberal state. With us have the 9th circuit here the chances of execution in this state is slim to none and slim just left town. I agree with you if anyone ever hurt anyone I loved and cared about I would take action into my own hands. But then again all the bleeding hearts want to spew about the criminals rights, whereas the victim somehow has none. Go figure, who cares about the murdered lets protect the murderer
