Good Morning Doug, Thanks for Horse Tracks...

Wow. that Charles Robinson article is an eye opener.

Sobering.
Truly a horrible incident. In retrospect, any puns on the last two comments are purely accidental.
You are right idaho
That was an extremely poor choice of words and was not intended to be sarcastic at all.

At 10-6 Denvers wildcard unless Jacksonville wins 3 games and Baltimore wins out.

Thanks Doug
“Matt Millen Doesn’t Know the Rules”- that’s been my impression of that guy too. I know that some here like him as a commentator, but I’m not one of them because of stuff like this. I have a hard time respecting “experts” when they don’t even know the rules.

"Enough already for the Jaguars."
Graziano said the Jaguars “would be the worst NFL playoff team in recent history.”
Wasn’t that the tag applied to the Cardinals last year?

But look on the bright side… At least he didnt’ have to watch the game last night.
haha i love the OLine fining each other for "transgressions"
i remember when they didnt even talk to the media or wear sleeves (i might be making the second one up)
also does anyone remember the old wooden sled that the linemen use to push around? is that thing still in use?

I don't remember the sled Loe is talking about
There were 3 or 4 Blocking sleds at camp/ I’m not sure if a wooden one was there. Sorry. :-)

Isn't it funny that they still do that?
Given it’s been a long tradition I guess it makes sense to carry it on. But the lineman I remember as being part part of that, like Nalen, and ZImmermann and so on, are all long gone. (Though I guess Hamilton was connected to that group.) I’m glad they still keep on with it, if for nothing else it bonds them as a group, and is funny.
There's no need to fear, Underdog is here! / Broncos/Dodgers fan in Niners/Raiders/Giants country, and damned proud of it.
So all the Indy Star beat reporters
expect the Colts to rip the Broncos and the Broncos D to give up on average 30 points. I know it could very well happen, and I know it’s Manning’s Colts, but the lack of respect for Denver in those predictions are kind of insulting. Guess they have to show them on the field though.

I mean, Colts 31, Broncos 13?
And the one Broncos guy they quote also predicts similar score. Thanks Jim Armstrong!

Pittsburg is toast.
Is it my imagination, or is there a common thread between Chicago and Pitt, and NY Giants all becoming too enamored of the passing game, and losing their physicality? (Although Chicago seemed to try last game to reverse that trend.) Maybe having a nationally acclaimed QB not named P Manning is a curse, not a blessing. Of course, Brees is great, but they have kept their running game.
biggest problem i see with the steelers is there offensive line but
yea they do need to get back to running the ball as well
GO COLTS!!! 09 IS OURS!!!

Well..I guess we are 8-5 already.
That’s what everybody is projecting, the Colts are 13-0 and haven’t even taken a snap! That’s amazing! Somebody ought to call up Dove Valley and tell them to cancel the flight…If we’re beat before we even get there. I respect the Colts and what they have done thus far but, they have to put on their jock strap the same way our guys do. Heck…Who would of thought the Browns would beat the Champs last night? I actually talked my wife out of picking the Browns [sheepishly speaking] and had to explain why the Steelers lost…Ouch. This game in Indy is just as important to us as it is to them, we’ll see who wants it more! 12-4 Baby!!! Until we ain’t. Thanks Doug.
Nothing about Chad Ocho Cinco changing his name again?
haha just kidding around. It’s great to hear that everyone is back to practice, though. We have been very lucky to have only one guy go to IR this season.
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.
Girl, you don't need to be a 10, as long as you have a good smile and smell like bacon.
Regarding: IS - Interactive: Colts Matchup - Phil Wilson
Phil Wilson calls the Indy Run O vs the Broncos run D an even matchup. The Broncos Run D is the7th best in the league in yards per carry allowed. Meanwhile the Colts running attack is ranked 28th in the league in yards per carry. Somehow this leads him to the conclusion that this area is a push? What a joke.
We confide in our strength without boasting of it; we respect that of others, without fearing it. -Thomas Jefferson 1793
If you look at FO effeciency stats, it is a wash. We're ranked 12th on Rush O according to them
and Denver’s ranked 14 on Rush D.
Our yards per carry has also been trending upwards the last five weeks. And as far running backs, despite the lack of yards, Addai comes in at a surprising 13 in DYAR and DVOA.
And nine of our twelve games were against rush ds that gave up fewer yards than Denver and two of those opponents gave up fewer yards per attempt.
We’re really not quite as bad a rush O as it looks on paper. Not saying we have an advantage, but calling it a wash is justifiable.
But some of those score predictions are crazy. I’m thinking more like 24-21.
